... about 2 weeks ago.....this is the same computer it had been originally installed on many, many years ago.....and no, nothing has changed......

My brother who is very good with computers tried to help me reinstall.......but it wouldn't install the ACS Atlas which you need.......

Now it won't even bring up the splash screen, and if you try to install it by going into My Computer and clicking on the drive it doesn't do anything.

Called Astrolabe and Ray sounded very impatient and said to reboot the computer and everything should be fine.....well I have already done that a couple times considering I have been trying to re-install it the past 2 weeks.....

So now I am out of a $300 great program that was a big deal for me to pay for many years ago.........Arrrrrr

Does anyone have any ideas? I am so bummed.

Thanks, I do not wish to purchase it again since I already have a program that is fully functional (when installed).

Well, I whould try system restore.

If that doesn't work I whould have completly cleaned the hard drive and then reinstal everything starting with the OS your using, I'm going to guess your runing either XP or Windows 7.

I know with some software you might have to do that for the licensing and to make sure everything is completly remove including features you might not relize is there.

Both are life and death solutions thought and assuming you have the dvd for all your applications you use to reinstall everything.

My guess is that when you deleted Solar Fire, it wasn't completly removed and the Atlas still thinks its there when you tried to reinstal it.

Try uninstalling everything from the top down and making sure everything is removed including some features. Then try reinstaling.

If all else fails "Nuke" the hard drive and reinstal everything from the OS.
