then were errors of interpretations from Ptolemy's writings that he used an equal sign house system when he actually used a whole sign house system

then eventually astrologers started coming up with other house systems

Placidus is not even an equal sign system

It's a quadrant house system......the houses are uneven
That's the same with Koch

in both whole sign and equal sign house system, the houses are equal

whole sign systems works like this

if the Ascendant is in 13'27 Virgo

then the 1st house cusp is 0'00 Virgo
the 2nd house cusp is 0'00 Libra
the 3rd house cusp is 0'00 Scorpio
the 4th house cusp is 0'00 Sagittarius
and so on

Placidus and Koch house system as well as many other house systems break down in latitudes of 66 degrees and higher. They cannot be used.
