I have a friend who can't ride in elevators. He will walk up 30 flights of stairs to avoid them. Do fears of this type show in one's chart?IP: Logged |

I have had phobias since I was young. I have a Cancer Moon. That may tend to them but maybe it is just me  ------------------

12th house afflictions, maybe? Just throwing out a guess.My husband has Neptune in 12th opposite Saturn in 6th. Although he's a big, fairly fearless guy in most situations, he has such terrible panic attacks trying to get on planes that we have to take road trips anytime we want to travel. As Ami pointed out in another thread, he does have Jupiter in 11th on the cusp of his 12th as well. IP: Logged |

He's always been like that. He'a a Virgo and has many OCD behaviors. He thinks elevators are unsafe. Running up those stairs are dangerous. Elevators are safe even if a cable breaks. IP: Logged |

Irrational fears, I normally associate them with Saturnine hard aspects in the natal,and also Chiron that's like a mini-saturn. If you believe in past lives, the SN and the 12th house is also a good indication to where those irrational fears are stemming from. So aspects to those could induce irrational fears that the person will HAVE no choice but to face in this life time. Do you have his birth details? may be you could offer a natal chart. Sounds like he needs control to me.
He does not have control over an elevatorsometimes elevators can be a bit freaky..
idk especially when you're alone.
You are in this tight space and honestly anything can happen.

Well that's a good point. I actually get pretty spazzy if someone else is driving, like I need to be IN CONTROL of the vehicle, and not have someone else literally at the wheel. I'm a horrible back seat driver.  But I can manage. I mean, I don't refuse to get in the car with other people or anything. Pluto/Saturn maybe? IP: Logged |

I'm terrified of elevators. Claustrophobia big time...I'm always afraid they are gonna like break down or something. I usually just take the stairs as well lol

I can understand fear of elevators although I don't possess this particular one. It's because, if there's a fire in the building and you're on the elevator it's a disaster in the making! Slim chance that would happen, though it could. Plus stairs are good exercise as already pointed out. You'd have to allow yourself plenty of extra time to climb thirty flights.

My ex had an afflicted Saturn/Moon in Pisces, and it was difficult for him to deal with.Yeah, it's usually something difficult in the Saturn/Neptune zone, Moon involved at times. But as a Leo, he had amazing strengths in other directions...
