I have been chewing on the idea for some time now. Anyone have any correlating or contrary information from their own research?I am seeing Eris as a ruler for Libra in the following way:
1). Libra is the first zodiac sign which fully embraces objects as “outside or unrelated to the self”.
Having a fundamental understanding of difference or “discord”, Libra seeks resolution through relating or “harmony”.
2). Libra recognizes the differences in others and strives to find a commonality, however Libra's desire to find the “perfect commonality between self and separate-other, can lead to an obsession with being liked, or considered attractive/pleasing.
3). Being the “fairest one of all”, can cause conflict within the self and among all the people fawning over the Libra's attention.
4). Librans love showcasing Venus and enjoy the process of coveting beautiful things within all beings. Eris instigates jealousy between beings in order to inspire results (if I like my neighbor's lawn mower, I work hard to build/purchase a better, faster, and shinier lawn mower).
5). As for the evil side of Eris, have you ever seen an angry Libra?....scary. Also “unconscious” or non-confrontational actions can cause much disharmony with and around Libra (a desire for peace resulting in disharmony seems pretty Eris).
In my investigation of Eris, I discovered a few things:
I was “fortunate” enough to experience a Sun-Pluto conjunction through my early 20's. Pluto's energy kinda feels like slowly being crushed by a bulldozer, until you are able to look at the stain you made on the concrete and see art. Eris is the little boy who comes along and ****** on your art to remind you, you are still a stain.
Here is another good example of my observation of Eris. Think about the world right now, government, food, fashion, money, industry, technology, etc... Now, destroy all those things with Uranus (revolution and overthrow), and continue to Neptune for dissolution of the rough edges and allowance of the lighter/valuable aspects to float to the top (the implementation of a new, more conscious law). Then the crap the fell to the bottom settles and becomes fertilizer for more enlightened growth when Pluto finally gets hold of it (new taboos are implemented). What then does Eris do? She walks around laughing at all these bald monkeys, beating each other up over paper with other monkey's pictures on it.
Eris loves to stir up conflict based on her natal sign/house. This conflict either taunts us to become much more involved in the box, or challenges us to step out of the box, only to remind us that believing there is such thing as “box”, was our actual problem.
I see Libra (when not at it's greatest) as VERY happy decorating the box, or (when functioning on a higher spectrum) dancing in and out of boxes, reminding us all that the world (life, death, scrapes, and ice-cream) is a party and intended to be played with, not believed in.
I'll post about my experiences with Ceres as the ruler of Virgo later, if people are interested.
PS: Sorry for any misspelling or grammar issues. I get bored of writing and tend to to squeeze it all out before getting bored and just throwing it away. =)
