Ok my veiness (can I make up that word.. lol) Its reared its ugly head, but I just cant help it.. My veiness has now turned to a web of lies because Im to vein to tell the truth... Or maybe its my pride... IDK.... So here's the whole truth... I have a fever blister just above my lip.. Its embarrassing and I feel humiliated even having it...
Its healing but it has some small scabs and it just looks awful... I cant show my face... I havent left my house.. Except for work.. I HAD to work because its been really busy and I couldnt leave my boss right now.. SO I go to work with my face hidden... LOL So I have been avoiding fish man.. Cuz yeah no way in hell is he going to see it!!! I have been hiding it with my hair, hands and ooo drinks... Ive been very creative!!! lol Anyways he comes to my desk, and I wont look at him... He says whats wrong.. I said nothing, just messing with you...
I turn my face away from him.. So he can only see my profile..
He said what are you hiding?? Your making my uncomfortable.. I said nothing..
He said turn around... I said no...
He said turn around again.. Again I said no...
He said in a stern voice T U R N A R O U N D!!!! which I have to admit was sexy.. But again I said no, Im not going to turn around. He stood behind me, for what seemed forever.. Then he turned and walked away..
HE was P I S s E D!!!!!! So I text him, and I say look... I didnt turn around because I busted my lip and I dont want you to see it... (ok ok so I lied!) He said I dont understand why you wont show it to me...
I said well Im embarrassed and I just dont want you to see it... So call me vein.. but it is what it is.... He then said
TELL ME WHO IS HITTING YOU!!!!!!! me= OMG OMG... LOL.... crap my lie is getting worse! I said no noo.. no one... Im just an idiot thats all.... he didnt reply after that. He came to my desk a while later.. I didnt look at him and I continued to hide my face..
I could feel how mad he was...
But I turned away from him... I texted him later, and said I was sorry.. but I dont want him to see it, and he wont reply back to me now... LOL... IDk what to think, he thinks Im getting beat up on now... Boy did my lie back fire! I thought he would say ok.. I understand.. Heck no.. He wanted to see for him self.. Since Im embarrassed I just cant show him... sighhhhhh OOo how this lie, is gonna kick my butt.. I just know it...
He wont talk to me now...
But thats ok.. Ill make it up to him, when Im better... He will forgive me!!!!!!
I know...
What a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive..
Is this just me?? Would anyone else be embarrassed to show themselves??

To be honest reading this made me feel a decent level of anger. Because you actively made things worse simply because you felt a slight feeling of embaressment. I will refrain from speaking much more about that.So you lied to save face to a degree. that's normal and most people will do that. However, you seem to have done it to the point where it is causing far more problem then is warranted. You acknowledge this. You SHOULD have just looked at him. Did he not say he wanted you to look at him, and that he did not understand? Would it not be much easier to do that? You are right this is vain and quite selfish. If I were in his shoes nothing you could do would move my opinion I would have had over you from this action. It speaks A LOT to your nature and I would want no part of it what so ever. You need to mature more, simple as that. I will venture to guess you posted this because you feel a certain level of pride over this action and event that occured. It feels good because you are living true to the ideals you feel fit for your astrological element. The problem is this is a negative example and perpetuating this sort of behavior is going to hault or reverse any development you could have.

No your right and I do feel horrible about it.. I do know its being vein... But I just couldnt let him see it.. Yeah I did make it worse, which was not my intention.. I felt really ashamed and felt like he would have made fun of me... So just out of reaction, thats what I did.. I cant really excuse it...

This is nothing hun. If you can't let him see this, how are you ever going to have a proper relationship with him that gets serious enough where he sees you without makeup, and with messy hair every day in the morning? And like sleepy eyes in the morning? And when you're sick? It'll all just be so on the surface then.

Here's the thing though, that is NOT your worst. Not even close. We are all seen at our best and our worst through out our life. If we don't face the good and bad together we can't survive this world because at times we can't control the situation we get in. If you hide something as simple and trivial as a blister, then come time where you have to face a much deeper trial you could fail and fall back farther then you can vision. Your external apperance which you value so much will be beyond meaning. No joy could be garnered from it anymore. Appologize to him. You KNOW what happened and why you did what you did. Most can't even see that. Tell him what you did, and why you did it. It's amazing how much people value honesty and mending errors. Even if he doesn't accept it, this will be wonderful practice for you. Learning to deal with good and bad. We can't always be at our best. Learn how to merge with it and make the best of it while it's still easy and ripe.

I seem to have a knack for getting myself into "lucy" type of problems.... @ tautomer4314 I did tell him, Im embarrassed and I dont want him to see my lip.. I also said yeah Im being vein.. but I just dont want you to see it... With that I was 100% honest... It was hard to tell him I was embarrassed.. but I just couldnt bring myself to tell him the real reason...

Lioness I have Leo in me so I empathize but I would have shown it to him if he asked bc my sag rising would have caved and my saturn in scorpio would have then decided to turn it around and make this a test of his love and loyalty LOL.Husband is a libra with venus in leo and I lost a bunch of my hair trying to relax it once and it was not pretty. I was all worry that he was going to break up with me bc I was thinking in my head libra with venus in leo oh man! and this was at the beginning of our relationship but he is surprisingly not shallow and doesn't even notice or care when I get pimples but I DO! He thinks I look cute always when I dont look cute always but to him I do. This experience with him as he was present when hair felt out really made me see how valuable he is... This year at some point we were doing mushrooms and I puked......Not pretty! He immediately helped me. I am thinking he been a Pisces he would have been super compassionate and would have even enjoyed pampering you and taking care of you, just my guess. I have moon in pisces and see things like this as opportunities to show I care. but I dont judge you hon and empathize  . Thanks for sharing. Well I said I was sorry and I explained to him my embarrassment.. He's mad (my opinion) because I didnt turn around when he TOLD me too... He has a controlling thing going on.. I dont listen well... (from what I have been told) hahahahahaha
He will let it go.. I know he will... Ill just give him space for now...

I wish the title was a lot more intelligible. *lol*Nothing is wrong with being vain. If it makes you happy that's great. As long as you aren't pushing it onto others or getting them to alter themselves. I find people who are so outspokenly against vanity are envious, and should learn to adopt vanity. my grandmother was the vainest woman ever. never once felt embarassed about it. always checking herself out in mirrors or windows lol. checking her reflection was one of her favourite pastimes. it was a healthy vanity and she never ever put down anyone else or sought an ego boost from others not that i think you do. i think you need to take your vanity and work it girlfriend!
