I am a pisces moon 29 degree, but I really do feel like an aries moon most of the time... I am loud, bold and restless. I have no patience with things (or people) and I really got a temper... it could also be my sun conjunction mars or moon opposite mars, but I doubt it... I am virgo sun/mars and that doesnt help me relax either. I'm a very sensitive soul though, but it's not like I cant take care of myself (my life is pretty good compared to all the things I have been through alone)I always wanted to find peace somehow, and wanted to learn how to meditate to relax my nerves... I am a hard worker and it would be very good for me, if I learned how to relax so I dont get too stressed out. So, can you give some advices? IP: Logged |

How tight is the opposition between Moon and Mars? This can determine whether your moon is being colored by the intensity of mars or not. I personally have Moon opposite Pluto, and since they're only a minute apart, I feel like a Scorpio Moon more so than a Gemini Moon. Anyways, some tips I would recommend is to try to relax. Create the image in your mind that the tension is some sort of energy lingering within your body, and then guide that energy out of your body as you relax yourself into this meditative state. Let yourself go of any physical attachments to the body and focus on your inner being, identifying yourself as a soul rather than a human. Those are meditative tips at least. Not too sure about the Aries Moon bit; I'll have to ask my older sister on that one (she's a Libra with an Aries Moon). IP: Logged |

Just talked to her. I suggest trying to do some sort of guided meditation. She says meditating to music or coloring are methods that she enjoys using. Try doing that. She also says that she likes mindfulness, if that is an Aries Moon quality. IP: Logged |

You don't have to sit under a tree for hours to meditate. Meditation can occur in your bath, whilst brushing your hair or doing everyday things. Where is Pisces/Jupiter in your chart? Because that may suggest a suitable place where one can "transition" to other states of mind. I know what you are thinking; "won't that Mars/Sun energy of nerves just get in the way?" Jupiter(also ruling Pisces btw) is where we can "let go" most easily and without "efforting". IP: Logged |

I'm not very good at it, unless something has already relaxed me into that mode where you just sit or lay back, and are perfectly fine with everything that drifts through your mind. I'm an Aries Sun, and I find that I have to listen to that sort of thing as I fall asleep, otherwise I'm too antsy to stay there, and stay still. I will be aware of the slightest noise/movement/etc. IP: Logged |

Actually you're probably pretty accurate.. I have jupiter in the 12th house, and I like taking long walks in nature... that actually kinda like meditation to me. I can feel all alone and in sync with nature, but still able to do something physically, which satisfy my nerves lol... sitting under a tree might not even be that bad, since its out in nature:P But trying to sit inside with nothing to look at and trying to focus my thoughts is a bit harder to be honest! So yeah, maybe you're right.... need to do a nature walk again soon! IP: Logged |

I'm similar to the OP, however, my Jupiter is tightly conjunct Mars... Moon contra-parallel's both very tight in Aries, 12th. Not to mention, both Mars & Jupiter detriment in Libra 6th house... What a crappy placement. detriment within detriment, opposing detriment. Let's add Pluto parallel Mars & Jupiter to the mix as well It's really not that bad... lol. Any thoughts on this in regard to your mention about looking to were Jupiter is? IP: Logged |

I have Libra 6th house cusp. But Mars is there. Libra is usually a sign that relaxes easily(Venus-ruled) and just knows how to "chill out". Mars/Jupiter mix can feel a need to "do" -rather than just to be. But the meditative state(Jupiter) is still possible. But it is likely that you will reach it when "doing"(Mars) something. Take the challenge of walking, mountain climbing or jogging in the afternoon/morning. I actually love mountain climbing myself-nothing quite like it.(Jupiter sextile Mars in 6th house) You however have Jupiter in Libra. So perhaps taking along a friend/partner may do the trick? You can climb together or watch the sunset after a long jog in absolute silence? Plus all this physical activity will appease your Moon in Aries. Where is the Pisces cusp? IP: Logged |

Another strong indicator that relaxation/ emotional awareness, can be reached in group pursuits.I also have Pisces on the 11th house cusp and I find much escapism when visiting friends or hanging out with them. IP: Logged |

By escapism, would the word "artificial" also be applicable here? IP: Logged |

Yes. Do walking meditation. This is to take advantage of your kinesthetic tendency (motion). Meditation does not have to be sitting. Start by focusing on the coordination of your rate of natural breathing with your steps. The average person breathes 12-20/minute. So that means you will be taking that many steps per minute. Do it wherever you have enough space to go in a circle, even a small one. I do this in an area about 6 feet x 8 feet, walking clockwise. As your breathing rate slows, slow your steps to match. Once you have a feel for this, add in counting each breath from 1 through 9, then starting over. Focus your mind on seeing each number as you count the breaths/steps. If you must, you can slowly say each number out loud to help you stay focused. Obviously you will be doing this with your eyes open. This slow rate of walking can be a profoundly relaxing meditation, especially after 20 minutes or so. You might start with just 5-10 minutes at first and stretch it out from there. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification IP: Logged |
