I keep seeing strong Neptune aspects in the solar returns/solar arcs/transits of people who have grieving something or someone. Is Neptune correlated to sadness/grief?

That makes a lot of sense. Since Neptune rules spirituality. And when someone passes, we can think about the afterworld while also grieving.

I usually think about Neptune as nightmares and dreams. When I pay attention to Neptune transits I feel like it's either making my life a nightmare or a dream come true.

I hadn’t thought about it like this but makes total sense. I’ve gone through some heavy Neptune transits in the last years and there was certainly plenty of grief. Neptune can wash away what’s not true/aligned, but it can make the delusion really real first! That process can be utterly heartbreaking. I’ve definitely reached deeper levels of grief within myself, which has helped me (or, really, it PUSHED me to) open my heart more.

I think it’s possible that Neptune is connected to grief. Neptune is known for idealization, longing and losing sense of reality. I can see how this can influence feeling grief and sadness. My mother has Neptune conjunct her Moon and Saturn, she has been suffering from depression for a long time and has tried to numb her feelings with alcohol. She’s very sensitive to melancholy and often feels isolated and alone.

I am sure that Neptune is associated with grief.
29 degrees Pisces can be grief too

I have seen it proven by world events many times. Personal lives too

A friend of mine has Venus square Neptune ın hıs Natal chart * he lost his wife to cancer. He was only 40 when she died. They fought cancer for nearly 10 years... And the grief is still there
