Do Aquariuses (in general, no specific gender) appreciate passion or when a person is passionate about a topic and goes on a soap box? Or does that weird them out a little bit?

It depends. If the passion is factually presented, yes I/they appreciate it.

If the passion is a gaggle of emotions welling up and gushing forth, heck no, "it weirds them/me out" sun aqua, merc aqua, n.n. aqua

I agree with Juni.

It depends on alot of things.

Soapbox issues, YES, if it is important to them, then absolutely!

They can get very passionate about issues.

About people is different. Remember Aqua is not so much the people person, but the universal person.

But once somebody does warm the sometimes icy heart of the Aqua, yes they too can be passionate. But is quite an Aquarian type passion!

That is what I needed to know! Also I thought about one time I missed an Aqua moon and told him, and he was kind of like "eehhh okay." Super awkward. Especially because I only meant it as friends.

^ LOL! If someone said that to me, I wouldn't have to worry about missing them ever again.

The Aqua moons I know can seem unfeeling, just because they see things differently, and that gives them a unique emotional reaction that others don't always get or deem appropriate.

I've got an Aquarius Mercury and I usually like hearing what knowledgeable people have to say. Since I'm interested in language, an articulate person could be talking to me about any random topic-- repairing a ski lift or maintaining a salt water aquarium-- and if the speech sounds good, I'll be listening. Only thing I don't like is when the vocabulary is very specialized, like with anatomy or computers, and I can't follow because too many words come up that I don't understand.

I REALLY like it when new acquaintances courteously remember that I might already know what they are about to "teach" me. So instead of launching into some big old lesson, they ask, "Are you familiar with (fill in the blank with their subject matter)?" I LOVE if they are interested in NOT wasting my time telling me things I already know.

When I talk to other people, I try to always get a feel for how much they might be interested in what I have to say, how much they already know, and so on.

But I guess that applies to everyone, that it's really nice when there is a smooth give and take.

Personally, I strongly respect it when someone is passionate over something, I dont like people who are opinion-less. Then again, if they're passionate about sth I detest, then I dont like them that much :/

More than passion, they'll appreciate the range of knowledge and prowess about the subject. That doesn't rule out passion - they wouldn't be weirded out

Aqua Moon and 1st House Uranus.

My hobby is getting people worked up about their soapbox issues, as long as they can present intelligent, data-based arguments in a gleefully witty way.

It's like 1/3 of the reason I fell for my husband (Gem Sun/Saggi Moon), and it took years before an old (Scorp Sun) boss of mine realized that I would initiate conversations in his office primarily so I could enjoy an hour+ -long update on his newest conspiracy information.

yeah I like when people get on their soap box. I like people expressing themselves.

whether I agree with them or not it's amusing or motivating.

Interesting ya'll!

If I'm reading correctly then it's more of a turn on for people to be passionate about (for example) social injustices, world problems, and animal cruelty than for the feelings to be turned personal like "I miss you." or going into long touchy-feely diatribes about their emotions for you directly?

I really really like Aquarius' Suns, Mars, and Venus actually! We're in sync the way Leos and I are, but without the drama and it's sooooooo nice.

I like it when people have views about things and care (Aquarius Ascendant and SN; Uranus conjunct MC and trine Ascendant).

But soapbox sermons, going on and on about something ranting and raving, or trying to force your views onto other people and make them agree with you, or passing judgment on people because they don't...that sort of thing makes me see red and it's the fastest way to make me tune you out.

It doesn't "weird me out" (you'd be hard-pressed to find someone weirder than me, to be blunt about it), it just absolutely p!sses me off and makes me see red, because they're infringing on other people's freedom (Uranus/Aquarius) to think what they want and do as they choose.
