Lets look at my fathers solar return chart at the time of his death.

1.) Pluto has moved into the 6th house on the Sagittarius/Capricorn Cusp

Pluto can be interpreted in this case death/deterioration of health(6 house) which is squaring his sun(not good energy)..being on the Sag/Cap cusp, Sag/Cap rules over hips thigh legs; during that time my dad was in the hospital originally for broken hip.

Now lets look at my solar return chart at the time of his death he died August 4th

the 10th house which can represent the father has pluto there. In my birth chart, I have neptune in the 4th house which can mean a alcoholic father.

Even with my best friend..when she got an abortion she had pluto in the 5th house of children..and her overbearing father (saturn) in her first house influencing her.

What I have learned from Solar Return charts is that aspects which are partile (meaning exact) are the ones which will have the greatest bearing on one's SR. Even if the aspects are soft ones, if they are partile/exact, then you will find that those energies are the ones most expressed, so it often helps to look at the rulers of the most exact aspects to see what they are doing.

The ruler of your father's 8th house is Uranus which is pretty much exactly square Pluto in the 6th house (as you mentioned). Many astrologers also consider the IC to be the 'end of life'. The IC is ruled by Mercury which is in the 4th house and is partile to Jupiter in the 12th house (and Jupiter rules the 6th house of health). Even though it's a soft aspect, it is exact and the rulers of the 12th, 6th and 4th houses are Mercury and Jupiter.
