The Sun: The grand plan: Is rarely detailed. More directive than instructive.Rarely “completed” in one lifetime. The moon: The perception of the experience. Receptive, absorbs, tries to make sense: Tries to build “wisdom” from experiences. Completed within the lifetime.
The Asc: Very detailed. Wants to focus on specifics. Is inter-active . Breaks down the grand plan to something “doable” within this lifetime .Is always contextual
We relate to people who have a compatible Sun-sign to us because they remind us of how much we still have to experience: That there is still so much more to us than what we can achieve in this life.
With really compatible sun-signs, we always feel “ourselves”, like we are going in the same direction.
With compatible moon signs , we feel that we are of one “experience”. We relate to things similarly, we are likely to have compatible tastes and preferences.
We feel that the person concerned perceives life in a very similar way. Our point of reference is supported.
When two people are of the same Asc or compatible, we have similar priorities.
We tend to focus our attention on the same things.
Asc compatibility is not necessarily “soul-uniting”, but it can make both people feel like they are “covering all bases” and making best use of the opportunities presented.
My Sun in Sag wants to experience life from all angles. It wants to gobble up all of life’s experiences and gain mental (as well as) spiritual growth in the process.
It is not too bothered with the details nor with any particular experience per say. As long as it can say “I’ve been here, I’ve done that.” It is always drawn to experiences of growth and progress.
My moon in Cancer perceives life from an emotionally conscious point f view. Contrary to public opinion, Cancer moon wants to have many varied and close/intimate experiences as much as possible.
It just seems clingy because it attaches itself to the “known “ones; convinced that it’ll not find any others should it let them go.
Emotional detachment tends to bore/mystify this moon and makes the life experiences that the Sun offers “mundane”.
It needs to emotionally connect “deeply” with the life experiences offered or opened up by the Sun and ,over time, starts to quietly influence the Sun in the direction that it believes will be most beneficial(emotionally); without tampering with the Sun’s need to have as many varied experience s as possible.
This is the part of the psyche that often says “this is no fun” or “I like this a lot”.
Asc in Taurus wants all pleasure, all gain: The Asc will only put into action the experiences the Sun and Moon both offer; if they are pleasurable, exciting and advantageous.
It is strongly pleasure-focused and, through the years, will actively filter all of the experiences offered by both the Sun and Moon to only those that are MOST pleasurable (no matter how varied they may be).
Again, it doesn’t interfere with the motives of the Sun, nor the intentions of the moon, but seeks to magnify that which is pleasurable.
It focuses intensely on the details and what is likely to be derived in this lifetime through the collaboration of both Sun/Moon.
It is quite a task to have, but the Asc often does this unconsciously everyday. That is why we able to filter out “bad” experiences when we are young and start to only focus on the “good” as we get older.
It is the Asc evolving to its destination (Midheaven). This is where the sun/Moon/Asc is in “agreement” from a conscious point of view. We can never get there, not without knowing /being clear (conscious) of what we want (what benefits the Sun/Moon combo).
