I was watching this show and it's centered around patriarch of a family that becomes a Pope.

and all the opulence made me think Leo but it could be Taurus too because of all the greed.

So catholic = leo?

Maybe taoism would be Libran?

Pisces would be Hinduism just because it's so ancient and really all the gods are just essence of one creator that really relates to pisces mutable energy.

Maybe aquarius would be buddhism.

Leo can be seen in Christianity but Catholicism is concerned with the Holy mother and Jesus mysteries, guilt over sex. This is classic Virgo/Pisces.

I have never read Catholic as Leo, always Virgo or Pisces. The Lion in Christianity is Leo while the Lamb is Aries.
Zoroastrianism has an Aries feel. It's about purification by fire. Aries is a sign, surprisingly, concerned with purifying, like Virgo. Virgo is through morality while Aries is through fire.

Are you kidding? Virgo/Pisces is the most powerful and Pisces is the one who can influence the most. Aqua and Pisces can influence farther and wider than Leo. Leo is only powerful when the sun is placed there.
Scorpio-Pisces are the ones who influence the generations.

Christianity was just a reinvention of an older religion.

Leo would be linked to worship of sun god...ancient Egyptian religion etc.

I agree. More like Ancient Egyptian Aten-sun disk worshiping, the Pharaohs and whatnot. This sounds like Leo. The king is worshiped as a god, we must build him great monuments, it's our duty. All is owned by the king.

If we are making comparisons based on signs. I agree that Christianity is Pisces and that Leo would be worshipping Apollo or Ra for example, or Sun deities. As far as the others, I'm not sure. Everyone has their own subjective opinions though.

I can see where you are coming from. Leo of the Sun, and the "Sun" or "father" gives life. The opposing opinions can sort of be linked as the same, but it is all subjective opinions, of course.
