Topic: Saturn in 12th House Transit

Hi, so I know this thread has been done before, but rather than bumping an old thread I wanted to make a new one. So please share, if you have had Saturn Transit the 12th what were your experiences/feelings during this time?? And equally as important, how was the transit when it passed the Ascendant, and what changes did you notice/feel as it entered the first? If you have planets conjunct the Ascendant, particularly Saturn or Neptune, how was this affected by the Saturn transit? But also interested in any planet conjunct the Asc and how the Saturn Transit affected it. Also, if you have planets residing in the 12th, how were these planets affected by the Saturn transit? Did having planets in the 12th help or hinder your Saturn transit 12th experience??? The more details the better!!!  IP: Logged |

Saturn through my 12th house was an awful time for me. But when Saturn entered Libra and was on my ASC the tables turned dramatically and it went from bad to the happiest time in my entire life. I have an empty 12th house but transit Saturn was also aspecting my planets negatively. IP: Logged |

I'm having saturn in my 12th house in this moment. It conjuncts my natal Jupiter and Part of Fortune (1° now) and Pluto (6°). For me it has enlighted isolation and health problems (pneumonia and problems with knees). IP: Logged |

I went through a Saturn transit through my 12H in 2003-2004. It was after going through a heart wrenching separation from my spiritual teacher and community when Saturn transited the 11H. I was living in a small cabin in the country. Typical of Saturn in the 12H, I felt isolated and remote from the world. But then, I met another spiritual teacher and became a part of a small circle of his students. I'd wanted to meet a teacher from his tradition for a long time so I got my wish. I have Moon and Venus in the 12H, but I don't remember anything specific when Saturn passed over them, or what, if anything happened when Saturn crossed over the ASC. IP: Logged |

It was the first time I felt suicidal from a guy who broke my heart. I had never fallen for anyone like that in my life and he ripped my heart into shreds.
This was when Saturn was in Virgo. And the guy has his Venus/Mars in Virgo. And my South Node is in Virgo. They all fall right on my 12th house cusp. I was depressed for the entire transit over him. I guess it was past life karma.

Hmmm... that was a rough time for me also. Saturn in Virgo which is my 12th with mercury, Venus, mars there.
I think worse was Libra 5 degrees before and after my asc. That whole period. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the responses everyone although you're all freaking me out a bit and I'm pretty nervous about my upcoming Saturn transit through the 12th.. @peony, a cabin in the woods is like my dream life. And Saturn conjunct Moon transit was pretty awful for me, around same time I met the person discussed in your Venus in the 12th thread. IP: Logged |

Some of the kinds of things that are conducive to Saturn's transit through the 12H are dream work, writing in a journal, study and contemplation, meditation, vision quests, breath work, and spiritual practice.Ideally, it's a time for solitude and withdrawal from day to day concerns and paying attention to one's inner life. Practically, it may not be possible for many people to take an extended period of time off. But, this could involve a weekend retreat, being out in nature, or time set aside each day for meditation and contemplation. Saturn's transit through the 12H is like the chrysalis stage of a butterfly. Quietly gestating is a new sense of self, which emerges during Saturn's transit through the first house. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the input Faith, I'm sorry it was such a hard time for you and that so many unfortunate events happened. Mine will end with a Saturn Return cause I have saturn/neptune conjunct Asc exact and I'm terrified. It will also conjunct venus and uranus on it's travels through the 12th. I don't have much hope for the next few years being any good.IP: Logged |

Vajra, thanks for sharing your not as scary 12th house transit. I hope mine is more similar to yours. What type(s) of fasting did you try? No food? Water fast? Juice fast?Anyone else care to share experiences? IP: Logged |

Saturn through my 12th conj nVenus opposite nSaturn ended my marriage. Right before that it passed over my nMars in 12, which made me totally paralyzed. I couldn't do anything. I didn't know what to do or what I wanted to do. I just couldn't move (not literally), which was not great for a marriage as he just didn't know how to help me and he was getting super frustrated by it, as was I. The good thing was as it finished with the 12th and crossed over the ASC and back (damn retro!), I lost 20kgs. It's been a mess the last two years. But now it's about to conj my nSun in 1st and things are getting much better.

Thanks for all the info Vajra!
I like how you can correlate all this astrologically to your transits and natal chart, and I love the dream interpretation as well! My dreams are pretty wacked out and I have a really hard time interpreting anything from them. I have a book that says that Saturn transiting the ASC is one of the hardest transits as well as causes many to lose weight, so I guess it is true. I think this one of the reasons why I am so nervous for Saturn transiting my ASC, cause it will be Saturn Return at exact same time as well as Saturn conjunct Neptune, and opposite Jupiter, and square Moon. I currently have Saturn transiting through my 12th house as well. There isn't much I can really say about it, it entered my 12th house when it was at 24 degrees Scorpio. I guess I've been spending more time in isolation but I kind of enjoy it. I don't have any planets in my 12th, but the ruler, Jupiter, is in my 5th house.IP: Logged |
