After reading some of the comments, I suspect there are a fair share of Taurus Sun's with Gemini placements on Lindaland forum. So I decided to start a topic to call them out! Because as a Taurus Sun with Gemini Mercury I am just too damn curious for my own good...

Anyway, tell me about your Gemini placements and how the hyper and all over the place Gemini placement works in combination with the slow and earthy stability of your Taurus Sun.

I'll go first, my Taurus side is stereotypically indulgent. I love to sleep, snack and all around just lounge about. But when my mind gets triggered about something it wants to totally emerge itself in this new subject. Maybe my Mercury trine Pluto comes into play here as well. However, in true Gemini fashion, at a certain point I will get distracted by something else... A new intellectual pursuit or a snack.

I am also totally in love with pintrest. My Gemini Mercury loves the amount of shallow knowledge available and my Taurus side keeps pinning recipe's for bread and smoothies. So this is my story, please tell me yours!

Taurus Sun with Gemini Venus here.

I don't know, everyone keeps saying how people with Gemini Venus are ***** who love to sleep around, cheat on their partners, are interested in "no-strings-attached" arrangements etc but I never really liked that. On the contrary, I'm 100% monogamous and when I'm in love with someone, I don't have eyes for anyone else. It's also very hard for me to be interested in someone erotically/romantically. I wonder if that's my Taurus Sun—I crave stability and I hate surprises.

The one aspect of my Gemini Venus that truly speaks to me though is how I'm primarily interested to someone's mind/personality than their looks. I don't have a "type"; all my past partners are completely different from each other. The one thing they had in common? They were able to hold their own intellectually and we'd have long and deep conversations about shared interests.

I’m a Taurus Sun/Mercury/Juno in 12H with Gemini ASC/Venus/SN. I’m a fixed sign with lotsa mutability in my chart (Sag Moon, Pisces Mars, mutable angles) so I don’t quite fit into fixed signs stereotype.

I was told I’m stubborn but I think it’s more likely that I too often let my intuition rules me due to the heavy Neptune in my chart. It can appear frustrating because there will be this seemingly amazing thing in front of me but I have no desire to possess it. Over the years I’ve learned to trust my own intuition as following well-meaning advices hadn’t led me to good end. I guess one man’s meat is another man’s poison. Mercury in 12H means I was a quiet child. I observe more than I speak and I’m slow to form opinions, not because I’m stupid (ahem) but I see layers rather than just on face value. Due to this, I tend to give people benefit of the doubt, unless all doubts removed. One typical Taurus trait I possess is I tend to mind my own biz, and I prefer others to leave me alone too.

I’m a sleepy head. I hate waking up early in the mornings so I struggle with regular 9-5. I function better at night and I think this is more a 12H thing. I used to laugh when people say Taurus love to cook but now I realised that I do! 😆 I love food but I’m not a big eater. I’m selective with what I put in my mouth, preferring savoury to sweet stuff.

My Gemini traits make me sociable, quick-witted, curious… but I rarely let people get too close too quickly. I hate it when people act like they know me damn well when we’ve barely spoken to each other. Or they think they know what I’m thinking/feeling when they know nuts about me and my life (so this kinda woe isn’t unique to Scorpio, haha). I realised that Geminis say a lot but nothing at all. 😆 I don’t tend to let people know the real me. Not good with talking about feelings, that’s the problem… and it’s so changeable. That’s why it’s hard to get to know a Gemini.

I don’t trust people readily due to being misunderstood and betrayed many times before. I can quietly sit at a corner and people think I’m plotting world domination, lol. I should check their charts as they probably have heavy Pluto/Scorpio in their natal. 😁 The last friend who thought I was a **** *stirrer has Scorpio rising with 8H Moon trine Pluto. She doesn’t represent all Scorpios of course but definitely the low-vibrating ones who think everyone is evil.

Something about Gemini being unfaithful is a gross stereotype, considering the kinda infidelity we suffered. I can at least speak for me and my Gemini gfs.

I know a Tau Sun/Ven Gem. He is very articulate. I think Gem placements with Tau add a certain versatility and element of surprise/spontaneity to a usually cautious and risk averse personality 👌🏿

Pale Blue Eyes & Hikaru, thank you for your replies!

I definitely feel that Gemini has an undeserved bad reputation. There are alway good and bad expressions of every sign. It seems like a couple of bad Gemini apples ruined it for a lot of people. Both my mother and my grandfather are Gemini Suns and I used to laugh with them until my belly ached. One of my favorite memories is that my mother and I had come up with our own weird language. Other family members would just frown at us, but not my grandfather. He just picked it up as if he was part of it all along. It is such a wonderful feeling when someone just gets you.

I don't have a Gemini Venus, but my H7 Ruler Mars is parallel (and antiscia) Mercury. For me it is also very important to have that intellectual connection. I find it very attractive if I can have a stimulating conversation with someone. And in the end we all look like raisins anyway, so I'll choose an attractive mind over an attractive body anytime.

@Hikaru: I find the 12th House really fascinating. Do you think that part of you being misunderstood has to do with your Mercury in H12?

Thank you for your reply Aries23Degrees! I am definitely risk averse by nature, but if I can learn something new or am really fascinated by something intellectualy I am far more willing to test the water.

PlutoWasHere,

Like you, I'm pretty chill unless and until an idea takes hold in my mind. Then I can be off to the races with it.

I have Sun conjunct Saturn in Taurus + Mars parallel MC in Gemini. Chart

I prefer routine and consistency, but the more I'm active with creative ideas, the less I care about routine. I just go with the mental/creative flow.

Consistent physical exercise, mostly walking, helps my mind stabilize more and I feel better for that kind of routine. It helps me smooth out any excess nerve/mind energy so I can focus better and think in a more balanced way.

I think so. I don’t usually have hidden intentions but people often think that I do or I’m some kinda ringleader. My Mercury is sextile Saturn quincunx Moon. I’ve a serious mind, I think a lot, but have trouble expressing them. Sometimes I second guess myself. It’s especially tough when I was a kid.

I also need an intellectual partner. Mental sparring is so important to me. People who help me think and analyse, not like I don’t do enough thinking on my own 🤪 but I really like to have someone as my sounding board.

I'm a Taurus Sun with Mars in Gemini I get bored easily. And it's hard for me to make up my mind with certain things. Especially about my career or job (Mars in the 10th house) I like to be mentally stimulated I like people who are funny with an open mind.

People say Mars in Gemini are players I'll admit that sometimes I do talk to multiple guys at once but I don't sleep around at all. I did start talking to other guys while I was still with my ex. But that was because I was sick of his crap. I still didn't physically cheat though.

I'm hoping that me working as a teachers assistant will help with my Gemini Mars energy.

Sometimes I wonder if I can ever be fully committed to just one person at a time. Honestly sometimes I think Gemini Mars is worse than Gemini Venus. Because Mars is our actions and it represents sex. So it's hard to be fully committed when you have an air Mars.

Hi Kannon, thank you for your reply! I definitely feel more focussed when I have exercized. Walking helps clear my head, but with my Saturn conjunct my Mars I really should to train with more resistance. I am thinking about starting with kick boxing after the summer.

With my Mars conjunct Saturn I am a slow starter but once I get moving I can really push myself. How does your Saturn conjunct Sun impact you?

Hi ChildofVenus, thank you for your reply! I also notice I get distracted easily, that is a very typical Gemini trait. A job as teacher's assistent does sound very suitable for someone with Gemini energy. My Mars is also my H7 ruler, what house does your Mars rule? Maybe that will help with directing the energy.

If you're a Taurus Sun with Gemini Mercury, it helps to look at where your Venus is placed (gives a more full picture and adds a "sub tone" to the Taurus).

And if you're a Taurus Sun with Gemini Venus, it helps to look at where Mercury is placed for similar reasons, but for the Gemini part. A Taurus Sun with say Gemini Venus and Aries Mercury is going to tend to be more generally active than a percentage of other Taurus highlighted folks, unless those Taurus folks have like Mars or Mercury in the 1st or something like that.

I am a major Taurus. I have a Taurus stellium with Venus 7Taurus, Jupiter 10Taurus and Sun 18Taurus. I have 2 planets in Domicile, Venus and Mercury. My Mercury is final dispositor for my Virgo Moon and Cancer Mars/Saturn. Mercury is also parallel my Mars. My chart is very Venusian, but my Mercury is still pretty loud in the background.

Holy Fixity Batman! Dost thou sometimes becometh a mountain and not budge or moveth an inch, even in the face of tempests and raging hurricanes?

Joking aside, funny enough, your Jupiter is almost exactly trine my Jupiter (almost at 10 degrees exact Virgo), and your Sun is almost exactly trine my Sun (18 degrees Cap).

@GalacticCoreExpolsion: I am a Libra ASC, so usually I am very diplomatic... until a certain line is crossed. Then I will go into full Taurus mode and become an immovable object. But in my defence, it takes a lot of cr*p before I get that way. So the person that pushed that button will definitely deserve whatever they get.

Those aspects are indeed funny. With my Earth stellium I always feel confortable around other people with Earth placements. I don't care if other people find it boring, for me stable and practical Earth energy rocks!

That makes sense. I'm a bit like that as well. Cap is probably the most stubborn of the non fixed signs, and then I have Leo Rising, but Libra Moon. I'm pretty easy going for the most part, but can dig in at times. And while I have a latent temper and it rarely comes out, it certainly can and has, but usually only when really pushed.

With Libra Rising and Venus in Taurus conjunct Jupiter and Sun conjunction, you must be really beautiful/attractive, especially facially.

Earth energy can be nice. I think the reason why I came in with so much in this life, was to focus on getting more grounded and practical in this life. I come from a lot of water and air in a past sense (Angular Pisces South Node, Libra Moon ruling 12th and with Venus in Aquarius angular, Scorpio IC).

But Cap Sun and Merc, Virgo N. Node, Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn, and with Sun being the chart ruler, Cap gets doubly emphasized.

But growing up and first learning about astrology, I identified a lot more with Pisces than anything else (not just due to the south node, but also because Jupiter and Neptune are two of my most highlighted planets). I felt more like a Pisces in a lot of way. But life has forced me to become more practical and grounded fo sho. I'm still working on it to some extent, and don't think I will ever quite completely fit in with being a physical earthling type...but making some progress here and there.

@GalacticCoreExplosion: I don't think I am attractive when it comes to looks. I have Pluto right on my Ascendant and I feel my facial features are kind of sharp and strong. My build is more athletic. Mars is my most elevated planet and Venus and Jupiter are inconjunct my Ascendant. I think I can come across as intimidating.

Growing up this was confusing because I do identify with my Libra ASC. My draconic Sun is also in Libra. When I was younger my class mates sometimes had a very strong reaction to me. I didn't understand why because I thought I was being friendly. But my Pluto, H8 stellium and Mars conjunct Saturn in H10 most likely made some people very uncomfortable.

Hmmm, Pluto in the first can indicate a definite vibe that some might find intimidating or the like, but it doesn't seem to correlate with changing the physical looks aspect of things much at all (for example, people with Pluto near their Asc don't become more Scorpio like looking physically).

If the Mars Saturn conjunction in the 10th is in aspect to the Asc, it could indicate an alternation from the archetypes of the Signs involved, and perhaps indicate a shift towards a more Yang type of look (both are individually quite Yang).

My Mars only makes a minor aspect to my Ascendant, a Quintile. Actually, the only personal planet to make a proper aspect to my Ascendent is my Gemini Mercury with a trine. Guess we're back to Gemini again.

Yeah, I don't know P.W.H. in that case. It is a bit puzzling to me since both are Venus ruled and both when strongly connected to the Asc (especially in combo) do tend to correlate with attractive to unusually attractive features.

Not that it is that important anyways. I think a person's character and vibe is far more important than what their body looks like.

But yeah, back to Mercury in Gemini.

I’m Taurus Sun/Mercury in 12th, Gemini Venus in 1st. I’m not at all athletic but I like to be active: cycling, walking, swimming, trekking etc.

@Hikaru: maybe your Taurus side is more drawn to outside activities? I love gardening. Not just the potting and the planting type stuff, but just being outside and looking at the bumblebees and little spiders doing their thing. I think that is a very Taurus/Eartg type of thing.
