I was reading about retrograde planets a while ago and I recall someone wrote that when a planet goes retrograde and you have that planet retrograde natally that it is actually a good time for you versus the people who have it going direct. For example, I was born with Mercury Retrograde and when it's going retrograde I have an easy time expressing its energy. I can communicate more clearly and get things quicker than when it's going direct. I also have Jupiter and Mars retrograde and feel ease expressing them when they are going retrograde as well. I am curious if any other people with natal planet retrograde feel the same way as well.IP: Logged |

This is true for me, most times. I feel a lot calmer and expressive when certain planets are retograde. Mercury,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus and Pluto are all retro in my chartIP: Logged |

Fellow students of the Astrology, retrograde simply means that the effect of such placement is a lot stronger than regular placements. This is because, planets which usually orbit during the regular cycle, stays in one spot during retrograde. As a result, either the planetary effect which Isaac Newton referred to as the 'dark matter' (radiation of planets) constantly hits one spot, or as geologists or some scientists that believes in astrology would say ... planets affect the geo-magnetic activities of earth which also affect human brain directly, influencing the human brain to even greater degrees during retrograde. In sum, retrograde sign in a natal chart cannot mean bad or good, until the whole chart is looked at. IP: Logged |

I have 6 Retrograde planets. In my case unfortunately, everytime a planet goes Rx, my life becomes a mess.IP: Logged |

Although, it maybe ridiculously hard... once you master all those placements, I think you may come out on top, in a sense that retrograde placements in general are stronger placements

My retrograde planets are the social (Jupiter and Saturn) and the generational (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto). I sort of agree with the premise of this post. I have noticed when Saturn is retrograde I seem to have smooth relations with authority figures, but when it goes direct an unavoidable tension returns. I haven't looked too closely into the effects the other 4 planets have, but Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are currently retrograde and my life has been relatively calm and easy lately.IP: Logged |

I do have Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto as retrograde, but I hardly feel the difference :/Though I think mercury give me this weird way to learn or this need to make strange links in my head in order to comprehend a subject. But hey, it works like a charm and I have one of the best memory around the people I know, so I can't complain about it. And I tend to stutter because my minds works a lot faster than my mouth and all of the words tries to get out at the same time :c But I don't know the influence of the others. IP: Logged |
