By what age did you feel most in alignment with your natal chart? Did you feel as if you sort of "grew" into your natal chart and when you were younger, you grew out of your "draconic" as you aged?

------------------
Scorpio Ascendant
Aquarius Sun in 4th
Gemini Moon in 8th

I have always been very familiar with my Sun in Sagittarius from a young age.

I only paid attention to the solar position and the rest were "background music" for the longest time.

I still think the Sun is by far the strongest and most immediate expression of my personality. With the Moon shrouded in secrecy and many protective layers.

The Asc is the conscious awakening of the "how" I am becoming who I am.

As an Aries rising person,I find that I dislike "beating around the bush" ever more as I get older. And also any impositions on my independence.

A Sag Sun with Cancer Asc for instance,I would imagine would seek 2 express their freedom in a manner that is sensitive of
where they are from or how they have been raised.

They for instance, would seek to express themselves in an intuitive, feeling, emotionally "inclusive" way(true to their Asc in Cancer)

I can identify with that too as Moon in Cancer squares my Asc.But I at the same time find the restrictions of having to care for other people's feelings limiting(square).

I want the freedom to express myself "off the cuff"(Aries rising). And I have had to limit contact with people that want to "edit" me when I want to express my thoughts.

That is not to say I am going all out to "hurt" others. I just want to speak my mind if and when the inspiration comes. For me, that is true freedom to be myself.

With the draconic, there is more an echo with the natal and not so much "separate" recognition of energies.

There is a "side by side" alliance of energy with the natal that is very active and just as discernible as the natal all at the same time.

Have you ever looked at someone and thought "they have to have Gemini somewhere"? Only to find that they are Scorpio but with no Gemini placements except perhaps a measly Mercury/Venus sextile aspect??? Look to the draconic.

When I sense something about someone strongly and the natal does not reflect it, the draconic usually does.

My sister is super argumentative and is an abrasive speaker. When looking at her natal, Mercury in Taurus and Mars in Gemini didn't satisfy me.

Yes, Gemini can be argumentative. But often in a playful, "just doing it to get a rise out of you" way. Not like she can be. Like she has to "win" etc.

When I looked at her draconic...BAM. Mercury is in Aries..halleluiah

When I was 11, already almost into middle school, I started to feel the need to become more social, believe that love is nothing but crap, and be nicer to people. It was when people started to think like adults. I think this is when puberty completely hit me.

When I was a child, I used to be a dreamer. I lived in my own little world, doing all sorts of artistic stuff. I also used to be very shy and didn't have as much friends as I do now. I also wasn't very emotional back then. In my draconic chart, I had:

Capricorn ascendant
Aquarius sun
Capricorn moon
Pisces mercury
Pisces venus
Taurus mars

Now, I am much more sociable. I also care more for people than I used to do. I think my Mercury and Venus is what I felt the most when I started growing into my chart. I aways believed in fairytale romances until I saw everyone else's relationships fall apart, including my parents'. The only thing that never changed was my Sun. I always felt like a Leo even when I was a child. Everyone celebrated my birth with a huge party, lots of toys as gifts, and a big room for myself, the newborn "princess", as my mom would use to call me. I always even thought I was royalty as a child because I had servants. I obviously don't think that now, but it translates more to me thinking I was made to be successful.

Gemini Rising
Sun in Leo (2nd house)
Moon in Cancer (1st house)
Mercury in Virgo (3rd house conj.)
Venus in Virgo (3rd house)
Mars in Libra (5th house)

Interesting question!

thinking about my own experience, I have

DRACONIC
GEMINI:moon, mercury, venus, sun, mars in
AC in aries

NATAL
GEMINI: moon, mercury
CANCER: sun-venus-mars
AC taurus

I remember when I was younger, I was very gemini. still I am, but much more than now. most people thought I was gemini, all the time. I was sport oriented and went to sport competitions (aries AC).. I felt very gemini..

I have become more cancerian. it is funny for instances, that until some years ago, the way I approached relationships were more mercurial. I wanted to talk about thing, when I was mad I wanted to vent.. typical gemini style. now, I have become more shell-like. I withdraw when hurt by a partner as a way to nurture and protect myself. I have learned to understand my vulnerability (which normally i was unaware until I felt the pain)

to your question about when this happen? I suppose you need at least a saturn return.. but hey, I am in my 40s.. so if the timing is similar for others, then, you need to wait a couple of decades.. LOL...I guess at least saturn return. then in the 40s you get other bunch of planetary hits. I remember that Carl Jung said that individuation started in maturity.. do not remember well. I suspect that before 40 if wont happen. of course, things are not lineal.. it is a constant process.

it is interesting because there is a mutual reception between her draconic mercury en aries and her natal mars in gemini. however beyond the fact that mercury in aries is more argumentative than mercury in taurus, I think that just the fact that her mars is in gemini may make her very argumentative. mars sign symbolize how we fight and how we go to get what we want. then she use words and arguments as weapons.

If we look at the theory that every quadrant of the chart describes a period of the native's life it depends of the house position of the sun and aspects.

For example if your sun is in the 7th house - it's around age 40.

When I was younger, I didn't feel aligned with my natal chart, because my birth certificate says I was born at 9:34 and the transits I've experienced definitely indicate a late Scorpio Ascendant instead of an early Sagittarius Ascendant. This isn't to say I don't have anything in common with Sagittarius placements, but honestly I think any similarities come from my progressed Ascendant.

After I rectified my chart and studied it, I started to notice bits and pieces that were right and now I feel like I'm more in alignment with my natal chart than I've ever been in past years. The first time I felt truly aligned with my natal chart was back in late August of this year. I'm 24.

All of this said, I've always identified with my Sun in Taurus.
