One year, an upscale foodmarket hired me to be a witch, handing out candy to customers at the entrance of the store.

I took it a step further----- literally.

Made sure the doors were open, and I screeched my way INTO the store with my frightening costume and makeup. I bent and GRABBED the microphone from the nearest cashier, and I let out a (believable) "cackle" that resounded on the speakers all over the store.

There was a moment of frozen-stillness..... then people started laughing and having fun.

I'd go around stealing shopping carts, and placing odd groceries in their baskets. Even bent over a refrigerated meat section and creeped my face VERY near someone else, until they went to pull back and see the person who 'invaded' their space--- then they'd JUMP!!!! mwahhahhahahaha

I wore sunglasses to REALLY disguise myself.
Some engineers came in to the deli to buy lunch. I sometimes worked for those guys (this was a side-job). I harassed them.... and they loved it. That was sooo cool. They never guessed it was me.

A local newspaper reporter had been there, and wrote an article that 'you should go see the witch' at certain supermarket this weekend!

I never revealed my identity to EVEN the store manager (as, THAT was my usual store). I remained A Mystery.... He had shaken my hand most-hardily and asked if I would come back the NEXT year..... but I relocated by then.

Oh yeah... I'm a lot of fun!
Also gave out the BEST candy bars
(at a time I could AFFORD to do so!!
