Hey guys,

For those who been thru your Saturn return, can you share with us how it went ? And where do you have Saturn in your chart?

And if anyone would want to share some knowledge on this topic, please do! It will be highly appreciated!

I have Saturn in the 5th in Pisces, trine Pluto. And square my Moon 9th /Sun 8th /Jupiter 3rd. So we'll see how that will go. LOL! I read that when Saturn is in the 5th, you can have a child during your first return/ or celebrate something big and family related. If you'd like to add anything, please feel free!

Many thanks xx

I'm interested in the responses you'll get, especially if someone has natal Saturn in 3rd house and they've been through their Saturn Return or they are currently experiencing it.

I feel like my Saturn Return has already started and I'm not sure why I feel this way considering that, logically, I know it hasn't. The only explanation I can come up with is my North Node in Capricorn since Saturn is currently in Capricorn and it made a conjunction to my North Node in 2nd house last year.

I'm hoping my Saturn Return doesn't kill me considering how difficult my official Saturn Return will probably be. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll be able to make progress with my writing career during my Saturn Return.

Overall, I have the same question as you. I want to know how everyone's Saturn Returns went.

I'm not entirely sure. My Saturn is 20 Cap and transit Saturn is currently at 19 Cap. I've been feeling some of the effects for the last year or so- I'm in my 28th year, and I know Saturn and Pluto will be retrograding over my Saturn for the years year or so as well. (The conjunction will be practically right on top).

It is in my 10th/11th house cusp and I have felt it mostly in an 11th way, I suppose. Finding boundaries within the groups that I interact with, realistic dreaming and wishing- I've lost a lot of friends where boundaries were not really existing between the lot of us. It's been quite a lonely year, and there have been deaths as well with Pluto around (and my natally ruled Pluto self).

A couple of things happened after my Saturn return.

I got into a new industry which I stayed for 10yrs.

My career started climbing. My savings started accumulating.

Got my degree.

Ended a long-term relationship and was single for a loooong time.

Started travelling a lot.

For me it took place in 1999-2000, actually coming pretty close to my 30th birthday. It was a tough period in which I'd not made the progress by age 30 I'd hoped and exposed some self-worth issues that I had trouble dealing with. But it was accompanied by Neptune's transit square my natal Sun. So the mixture of the two really made it harder.

Saturn is conjunct Sun in Taurus my natal chart, and in the 8th house.

The Saturn return is much misunderstood and over-dramatized. How a person experiences the period will be determined a lot by what other transits (especially slower ones by Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) accompany it.

It is a measuring point in life to see how constructive your life has been so far, how you've handled responsibility and if you need to refocus your understanding of your efforts, purpose, strength, etc. Goals may need to be constructed with timelines -- or conversely let go of if they have proven to be based on inappropriate or irrelevant expectations. It is the point at which a person may feel the heaviness of parental expectations upon them, or filter out any such outworn expectations and become clearer about their own goals and objectives.

i did a lot of drugs, mostly heroin, and ended up dealing with physical addiction after 15 years of on/off opiate use (i started at 15 with oxys) just a lot when it came to substance abuse and **** really; though i came away from it better than i could've at least

did lose someone very close to me to an od not long after it ended, fiancee's sister, and the whole thing and recovery from it almost destroyed my relationship with my fiancee (who i had to pretty much drag out of the state with me and unfortunately the only way out was to leave her sister behind) but that's healed a lot since then

if you use placidus i have a second house saturn, only aspect it has is it squaring my sun

that being said it wasn't all a bad experience

Saturn to me has always represented the "inner" parent. Not the parent that comforts, nourishes and allows i.e "Here you go my sweet baby.Have some cake" as that is more the Moon.

Saturn is the parent that says "Ok. Stop eating. That's enough." ,etc. in that Saturn restricts, limits or sets boundaries. As if you don't stop eating cake, you will get sick and throw up later.

Now this external voice of parents or authority figures does (over time) become internalized. And instead of parents being the authority figures etc. society starts to take that role in the form of the public, the police or rule makers.

When its internalized, it becomes the voice you hear when you think of doing something that you think the other people won't approve of i.e. whether its running naked on the street or having sex in public etc.

Saturn always says "no". But the "no" is meant to construct and not to hurt-therein lies the rub. So once ones inner voice starts to say "you are not good enough" instead of "you may need to dedicate more hours to practice" etc. It is no longer Saturn that is speaking, its something else.

So Saturn in any house is where we are likely to say "no" or restrict things. If its not for the pupose of building towards a certain end, the "no" is imprisoning and does not male best use of this energy.

In other words, if you keep saying "no" to invitations to get togethers because you are preparing for your finals etc. This is different from another saying "no" just for the heck of it.

In that the former wants to pass their terms(Saturn is productive here) whilst the latter is likely to invite unnecessary loneliness(Saturn is destructive here)

So the "Saturn return" is nothing more than the point where transiting Saturn "returns" to natives placement and sign after a 27-30 year trip(depending on the sign).

The idea here or premise is that the person has now gotten the "hang" of how to impose restrictions to bring things into balance in each area of life. If not, the transit is usually quite unsettling ot harsh as other people "impose those restrictions on them(Saturn rules authority figures and the public)

My Saturn came into the 7th in the sign of Scorpio and was to bring to balance the extreme nature of my emotions(Scorpio) when it came to dealing with one on one relationships(7th)

It was a time where I had to moderate a lot of how I feel and repress outbursts fueled by emotional extremes. But at the time I didn't quite understand what this meant nor did I see myself as suspicious or intensely emotional (Scorpio).

So it was not an easy time as during those two years, I felt like I was being "overpowered" and couldn't fully express how I felt. I went head to head with managers and confronting them to a point where I was emotionally drained and left many jobs.

What I think Saturn was tryingto have me do was harness(Saturn) this emotional intensity(Scorpio) in a way that could work for me within relationships or relating to others(7th). Did I do it? Nope. Better like next time.lol

I think I was not happy about the industry that I was in because had I done what Saturn had intended during that time, I would have rapidly risen up the ranks to a leadership point. But I was too emotionally high strung and volcanic.

Now transiting Saturn is in Capricorn and squares my natal Dsc.So I have another chance to try again to manage my fierce emotions when it comes to the relationships. This will be even more so when Saturn is in Aquarius square natal Saturn in Scorpio.

You on the other hand with Pisces Saturn, may have experienced the first tension of "restraint" when transiting Saturn was in Sag. In that it required you to learn to be more engaged in the world, less in the background and "awake"(Pisces).

How did you do? Coz now you have a second chance with Cap Saturn in sextile aspect to your Pisces Saturn. It will not be nearly as jarring as Pisces Saturn return, but it will give you an idea of what the upcoming transit will expect of you.

Yes. I completely agree. Saturn is often seen as a "bad" planet. While it only teaches you lessons in the hard way because you took too long to learn them.

But what I did notice tho, is that if you prepare for it in some sort, it won't be as hard. Esp when you're aware of your placements/transits, you kind of get the idea of where are the things that you need to learn.

All what Saturn does is remind you of the need to stay grounded in life. When you get stuck to things you know deep down are not good for you, Saturn will come and snatch them back from you.

Just like how someone in the replies said, they said everything turned out for the better after their Saturn return. So I think that, when you do the work way before your SR, Saturn will reward you. It's better to think of it that way, like a needed life lesson that will be a reward later on, than be scared of it.

Me on the other hand, when Sag Saturn was transiting my chart, it was in my 2nd house. I don't recall having difficulties with finances, but I was more organised and rational when it comes to spending money. But since it was square my Natal Saturn, and just like you said, my surrounding felt different. I broke up with my boyfriend during that time, and I was more devoted to myself and mental well being. I felt like I NEEDED to "clean" my environment for me to grow and evolve in life.

And also, during that same month of December, I got my degree and got accepted into many unis. It was a good time, but depression was also there. But it didn't stop me, I somehow knew it was necessary.

Now Transit Saturn/Pluto/SN are conjunct my Jupiter/Uranus/Neptune in the 3rd house. I have been way more grounded, idk if it's thanks to Saturn or if it's just me conquering my Gemini Stellium and killing the procrastinator in me haha! I have been more focused tbh. And kind of learning how to be independent. I think learning that is one of my life lessons.

I wonder if Saturn in Sag also tested your morals?

Jupiter rules Sag and when Sag is the energy of Saturn, its a walking contradiction i.e restricted (Saturn) expansion(Jupiter)

Jupiter is questions on morality. But Saturn says "But where do we draw the line of where this expansion ends?"

An example would be the issue of immigration(Jupiter rules immigrants). So perhaps you feel that immigrants should be granted the same health care as citizens of the country. And the state should pay for it? So Jupiter says "Yeah!!!"(expansion).

Now Saturn comes along and says that the government does not have funds to extend health care to immigrants in order to afford them the same care that civilians have.

Should the government then increase Tax on civillians in order to fund this health care? And which immigrants shoulf receive this health care? The ones who came in the country through due process/legally? Or should the care be indiscriminant?

Now that is Saturn(limitation). And Saturn in Sag tests these moral principles and ideals against the backdrop of real life i.e lets not think of morals and values as wonderful "intangible concepts". But lets think of morals as something we can practically apply into a system for tangible results.

When Saturn sat on my Jupiter in Sag, the crime rate of this country escalated(a large part of it was due to immigrants being involved).

Now I found myself getting angrier at immigrants and thinking "How dare "they" ? How dare "they" come into the country with the purpose of ruining it?"

Not to say that civilians were "holier than thou".But I found it easier to be angrier at "foreigners" and place the blame squarely on them.

I considered myself a pretty "open minded" person before the transit. But afterwards, I wasn't so sure i.e Am I xenophobic? How equal to me do I view immigrants? How trusting am I of people who are not born of this country?

I wondered how this transit affected those with Saturn in Sagittarius? I have Sun/Jup/Nep in Sag and the transit hit me HARD.

My Saturn Return (began in 2014) was uneventful and actually very peaceful. My life is normally filled with turmoil so this was a nice break. I'm a cap rising, so Saturn is my chart ruler. I'm not sure whether this made a difference since I'm used to Saturn being a huge part of my life.

I guess I'm going through it now Saturn is 4 degrees away from my Saturn. It's my 9th house. I've increased traveling a tiny bit. Have my first job where I get PTO.

Right now I'm taking a class and one of my teachers is hypercritical of how I type my papers. Papers are usually an easy A for me. I have not got a single A. Its kind of rocking my world. I have no hard or ill feeling from my professor for this. I just wish I did not have such a demanding job and experience a death in the family while taking this class. It just feels ****** that I can't meet these standards with my demanding job that has me take my work home, I try not to have a personal life, but it's still demanding of my time. People who do not have to take their work home do not get it. I tell people I can't hang out until the school year is over. "Oh wanna hang this week?"

I am BEYOND done being a college student and a preschool teacher at the same time.
Well I have two weeks left of this class.

Then I'll go back to being an online college student. Online classes work way better for me with work. Then by mid June I can just be a college student for a while! To me that's a flippin vacation.

Then just a bit of doing online classes while working til 2020. I know how to handle that already. Honestly community college is way harder while working than taking online at a private college.

Hang in there, Stawr. Balancing a career and college classes is very difficult. The good news is that school doesn't last forever. The hard work is worth it in the end!

Survived my first exact pass of Saturn earlier this month lol...

Lately work has been a major theme. I had to sit down and spend time to really think about and write down/make a plan for my career.

My husband’s first pass is coming up soon, he is changing careers. So definitely a theme of work in our house right now.

Also I used the search engine to find this post, Randall. Happy it is here

Wish you all well.

Edit: P.S. Checked my transits after I posted and Saturn is exact to the minute on my North Node as I wrote this.... wild!
