I'm shocked because I thought they are both permanent like our natal....are they Transits?? Like my north node is in Virgo and south is Pisces on my natal chart. How does that change? IP: Logged |

I don't really get, you thought planets didn't move from sign to sign ? "how does that change" : what are you talking about ? what changes what ? You mean differences between transits and natal chart ? IP: Logged |

I suppose you might be new to astrology since you didn't know that the nodes move signs... just like the planets do... Since you know now that they nodes change signs every 18 months (approximately every year and half) that is why someone a year and a half older than you would have their node in a different sign... The nodes transit into different signs just like the planets do.IP: Logged |

The Lunar Nodes continue moving since the Sun and Moon continue to move. These nodes are created by the meeting point of the Sun's path (ecliptic) and the Moon's path. So they continue to move just as all other planets and bodies do. The Nodes place in your natal chart remains its key primary influence relating to your life direction and general development. However, its progressed movement and the transits of the Nodes also play a role. Astrology has many layers. Focus on the natal chart. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology - by the declinations guy Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |

Oh so you didn't know that Nodes, planets etc move from sign to sign... Yes there is your natal chart, and also the planets positions at this moment. The babies who were just born now have now the natal chart of the planets positions at this moment, the moment exact they are born, for the rest of their lifeIP: Logged |

I am not really new, just haven't had the chance to study more in depth. I have a hard time following too much technical things like astrology lol yes, I didn't realize that the south and north nodes move every 18 months. so for example, my north node is currently on Virgo and south is in Pisces when i was born in 1979. So will this move? here's my chart http://imgur.com/a/3525z it looks like on my natal, north node is virgo hasn't moved lol i understand that transit planets move. so in conclusion, transit north and south nodes move, but the natal nodes don't? oh okay ! But you were talking about transiting planets when you said that it moves every 18 months... So, you keep the same natal chart all you life but also natal planets moves yes, it's "progressed charts" (I know two types of progressed charts, maybe there's more)... So you've got : your natal chart, AND progressed charts (and ALSO the chart of your birthday of each year)... IP: Logged |

My original question was yes i was shocked to find out that the transit nodes moves every 18 months! i didn't know there's transiting nodes! lol so the natal nodes just stay put like the other natal planets no?? i thought the natal nodes are the ones that move. but it makes sense that the transit and progressive ones are the ones that moves LOL IP: Logged |

The natal chart is a 'snapshot' at birth. Never moves.Do you have an account with Astrodienst? www.astro.com Go to Extended Charts. Above the logo for Astrodienst, there's a blue cartouche (blue box) with the words 'with transits' or, 'without transits' ... If you click on 'with transits' .... you'll see that the NATAL wheel (which ALWAYS is the same, never moves) gets these little 'green-colored' glyphs and symbols on the outer wheel. The green-color are the TRANSITS... Look over at the left side, under the red typing. You'll see the 'green' date and time (UT ... which is U.K. time-- adjust it to your own time in your head). These are the 'transits'. If you go above to the little glyphs next to the words "My Astro" ... and you click for a chart there, you will get the CURRENT sky, in YOUR locale-- The computer 'knows' where you are and draws up the houses/cusps for your locale... but, don't concentrate on that if it is causing any complexity or confusion. Nail down ONE thing at a time, and it will become much easier later. Transits are the sky positions in CURRENT pattern. And.... The nodes move BACKWARDS. They start a sign at 29... then move to 0, then jump to next (backward motion) zodiac sign. We are currently halfway through LEO northnode with Aquarius southnode. We will be heading DOWN in the numbers until it reaches 29+ Cancer north node, and 29+ Capricorn south node. To find where the green nodes were at any specific date, go to line above 'with transits/without transits' and it will take you back to the page of making choices.
Go to option of the date, and change that date to the one you'd like to look at. Rinse - Lather - Repeat {Progressions are really advanced. Pin down your knowledge of natal, and transits, FIRST.} IP: Logged |
