I am utterly exhausting myself with repetitive thoughts, imaginary scenarios etc. I'm starting to cause real anxiety symptoms (grinding of teeth, clenching jaw and tension headaches)

What kind of transits would indicate such a heightened level of mental activity? It kind of began at the beginning of the week and has intensified since then.

Currently mercury and the sun are transiting my third house. Transiting mercury is making a wide opposition to natal pluto. Transiting pluto squaring natal moon?

I got very obsessive when trans Pluto was conjunct my Mercury. I think I was on here a whole lot.

I did some voice recordings and scribbled some notes on my sketch pad to try and ease the out of control thinking I was doing.

You can't get rid of it though. Its a matter of focusing where you feel it will be most productive and holding it there.

Is your Moon in 3rd or ruled by Mercury? The Moon is the emotional mind. How close is the aspect?

Mercury-Pluto conjunctions (and oppositions) are tough. I know lots of people with them, as they are interesting, insightful and intelligent usually but they frequently suffer with excessive thought, worry and mental stress. I know they usually find it difficult to stop thinking.

Mercury-Saturn are often strategic thinkers but frequently laiden with self-doubt too. Of course their self-discrimination helps to refine their expertise over time, but they struggle with self image quite often and can be very critical of those who don't meet their standards.

On the contrary, you may expect Mercury-Chiron to be critical, but not so. They simply are shy in the way they come across, are very sensitive to others' thoughts and lack confidence in assertion. I've not met one who externalises the vulnerability.

Sorry cultstatus, you're asking about transits, but these set ups will figure. Also look at transits involving these planets overall, is there anything going on with Chiron in your chart? What rules your 3rd house?

Pluto, but with the intensity and teeth grinding starting up recently there may be a quicker moving factor like Saturn or Mars that has come into play. So you are right to note the transit of Mercury opposite natal Pluto, but that is not deep enough and by itself too transient.

However, in looking up your chart here on LL, I see Pluto 21CAP03 in retrograde motion has gone back into square to your natal Moon 18LIB50. In addition, Pluto [21S33] is within ten minutes arc of exact parallel to your natal Saturn [21S23]. A challenging combination.

I would recommend looking into the flower essence White Chestnut or similar ones as described here: http://www.bachcentre.com/centre/remedies.htm

Thanks to this post I realised that my mental obsession with someone is not just because of transit Pluto conjucting my North Node in 7th H.. but it's also opposing my natal Mercury!!
It drives me crazy. It's so creepy and not normal at all! I also feel very empty (I don't know if it has to do with transit Pluto opposing Mercury though or transit Pluto being in 7th H)

Ok guys: Here is my chart with current transits.

It's been so bad all day, the anxiety that I just can't even pin point the cause of.

Also the upcoming full moon with be exactly conjunct saturn which I could see contributing, but now? This early?

Just wanted to chime in and say things will get better! I had obsessive repetitive thoughts for a few years after my dad died and I’m pretty sure some heavy transit would’ve been involved. I was only just able to keep my head above water. I tried a slapping a rubber band against my skin to stop them. Didn’t work. The only things that worked was neurofeedback, meditation and eating animal protein again after being vegan for me. NF seriously was the best thing I did and coupled with psychotherapy it helped me overcome my fear (obsessive thoughts of death). It was like a veil had been lifted.
Just hang in there

I hear what has been said about the Pluto /Moon sqaure.

But I am zooming in on the 4th house cusp ruler (Merc) and its conjunction with the Sun natally in Uranus ruled Aqua.

Mars is currently transiting that spot. That would give that place a lot of energy. And add on the chaotic Uranus in square aspect to Sun/Merc. Nervous wreck!

Me to EmGem,

I struggled to feel grounded or 'safe' when my Dad died too. I suppose looking back it was anxiety.

Pluto was opposite my Saturn-Moon at the time, which rule my IC and MC respectively. So we are linking back to Pluto-Moon again.

As Kannon mentions, Pluto is coming back to square your Moon there Cultstatus and as it will be exact again in September, you are still in the middle of this Pluto square Moon event I'm afraid.

I would agree with the suggestion of White Chestnut and also Cherry Plum for when things seem too 'out of control' and Rock Water to help 'let go'.

Meditation too. Letting go is always the key with Pluto but far easier to say that I know...

I don’t really have the Astro science to back it up but sometimes I can get obsessive mentally with topics and go on and on and on. It isn’t fun or pretty it’s actually annoying. I mean I’d like to be more versatile. But nope. lol

You know I have Pluto square Venus, Mars, Jupiter, trine AsC. I always have this problem too when I like someone generally but this tome I feel very stupid because I don't know that person almost at all. I can swear he is a my soulmate this creepy feeling like I already love him and I don't have a clue wtf I feel like that. My brain usually keeps everything under control no matter how intense feelings I have but this time it doesn't work at all. I wish that it will go away when transit Pluto moves away.

Transits involving quintiles perhaps as quintiles resonate with mercury.

Quintiles are aspects that are 72 degrees apart, you would have to count it manually to detect the transits.

If you tell me the exact degrees of your mercury placement I can tell you if there are any quintile transits aspecting your mercury.
