I think Sun/Saturn is. I'm about to go through it and I'm already feeling the effects.

Venus/Saturn too.

To me, the emotional mind(Moon) is the first to be hit by depression.

So changeable planets Mercury/Uranus /Neptune tend to feed the instability.

Moon in 3rd in aspect to Mercury/Ura/Nept
Moon/Mercury in aspect to Ura/Nep
Moon in Gemini in aspect to Mer/Ura/Nep
Mercury ruling the 3rd house with Moon/Uranus/Neptune there.
Moon ruling the 4th house with Merc/Nep/Uranus there.

Many of the Merc/Moon mixes with Uranus/Neptune there in the natal are a fertile ground from which depression can build. Either through progression/transits or both.

Saturn involved in the above makes things look ever more bleak and exasperating. They may try to seek therapy, medication or counselling in an effort to cope.

Pluto involved in the above makes things look absolute and final. Usually the native will opt for a drastic way to get themselves out(Suicide)

If the native has Saturn/Pluto already in the mix natally, they have had any thoughts or attempts to end their life. Or perhaps have sort out help(medical or otherwise) to help curb or cope with the feelings of hopelessness.

Other planets also play a role though;

Jupiter in the mix can make "leaving this life" something romantic ,triumphant or majestic(esp if Neptune is in aspect with Jupiter) Its not killing oneself, its releasing from "bondage" etc.

Mars/Uranus transits can lead to the person actually doing something about it. Either seeking help to fight it or giving in and taking their life-usually through a quick and decisive way(gun to head, falling off building, train sleeping or running towards a truck)

I have tNeptune conjunct my Saturn right now.

I already have Saturn/Sun conjunction natally, square Pluto. I have tried to end my life twice, I have done the whole nine.

Not getting any better either. Progressed chart Moon square Saturn and Mercury applying to Saturn. Wish me freakin' luck. Both times I've tried to commit suicide have failed. I need a surefire way to die, don't want to mess up and have permanent brain damage. Don't want to be in a coma. Just want it quick and easy. Life is a drag and humans suck. Only certain people who fit the mold can make it in a world like this. Nothing is motivating me anymore to even care to live. My time will come soon, I don't want to see thirty years on this hellhole.

^^ That is rough sun conjunct Saturn square Pluto, hard to be positive with those two hitting your sun.

God hates me.

Don't worry I hate him too. I'd rather be in hell than keep living the life I am. **** him. I genuinely am beginning to hate everything in this world.

Saturn square, conjunct/parallel, or opposite/contra-parallel natal Moon/Sun/Merc/VenusAsc/MC.

Neptune and Pluto: same.

Sometimes more subtle versions of this in progressed aspects, but only if exact or nearly exact (+/- 0°00-05' orb).

It's not that a person will and must feel depressed when they go through any of these kinds of transits, but if they are experiencing pronounced depression it is most likely they are experiencing one or more of them.

I had major depression starting in early 1989:
- Neptune closely conjunct natal Moon 12° Capricorn
- Saturn: same

At least two or three low points from early 2001 through September 2004:
- all through it, Pluto 9Sagittarius) square natal Asc (Virgo) within 3°
- Saturn (Gemini) also square Asc during part of 2001 when things were at their worst that year

Hmm..

I have no idea how to calculate parallels and contra-parallels, or what they even mean. But..

..I have right now in my chart:

tSaturn opposite Moon
tSaturn trine Mercury/Venus
tJupiter square natal Jupiter

I did have tNeptune opposite Mercury/Venus a few months back, but thank god it’s gone now.

———

I think the Jupiter square affects me too because I’ve been finding my luck at an all time low right now. I’ve been stressed about so many things that even my body has been constantly in a tensed up state. I’ve been finding it really hard to relax.

As for the tSaturn opposite my Moon, this has been affecting me heavily, more so than the other transits. tSaturn is currently in my 7th house right now, causing me to want to withdraw. I’ve been wanting some quiet alone time for a while now but I can’t seem to get it. Everyone wants my attention and I feel like I’m spreading myself thin. The last time I felt like this was when tSaturn was in Libra squaring my Moon a few years back. This is not helpful to me wanting some alone time because my partner is going through his own heavy Saturn transit. tSaturn is triggering his natal t-square and is currently conjunct his Cap moon. He needs me now more than anything, but I’ve been constantly finding it hard not to resist being there for him.

I feel like I am not taking enough time to take care of myself because I’m too busy caring for other people. It is slowly starting to drain me and getting me more and more upset.

How long does this transit last again?

As for tSaturn trine my Mercury/Venus, I’m not exactly sure if I feel this. I have no idea how this is affecting my life right now.

Yeah, that Saturn transit opposite natal Moon, plus Pluto's transit square natal Mars can create tension over how you are using your energy.

Tell them. You don't have anything to prove carrying others on your shoulders or responding on their timing. Right?

quote:

... How long does this transit last again?

+/- 5°, but especially when it is within 3° of exact. So into next year. It's not Saturn doing this to you, it is trying to help by getting you to pull back emotionally, see? Break the pattern for a while to take care of you. Otherwise, you'll just heap more and more on yourself because they'll probably let you.

Saturn on Sun or 5th H.
I had transit Saturn in. 5th H
Then Progressed Sun in opposition with progressed Saturn
Then progressed Sun in opposition with Natal Saturn and now at the same time Transit Saturn is going to oppose Natal Sun.
I think it's the worst. I was. very suprised by the effect it had when in my 5th H actually
