Does anyone have any insight on what his ascendant could be? I just put his birth chart at 12:00pm, so it is coming up as Cancer in the chart.

What vibes do you pick up from him? I don't want to give anything away about what kind of person he was. All I have are older pictures of him, I'm working on finding some when he was younger.

I didn’t really know him well. I was 12 when he passed away so I don’t have too many memories of him. When I look at the photo I see Taurus in him. Which would put Saturn in his first house. My grandmother was a Scorpio sun, and if he was a Taurus asc he would have had Scorpio as his dsc.

I’m actually surprised at the good vibes you all are picking up from him lol. My mom and her sisters don’t really have many good things to say about him. He was an alcoholic and would yell and slam doors in the house. He came home drunk often and my mom hardly could have friends over after school because she didn’t know what kind of mood he’d be in when he would come home.

He worked in sales as I mentioned above. But he spent a lot of the money on himself, booze, and women. He’d often come home with lipstick on his shirt. My grandmother had to work until she physically and mentally could no longer work, into her 80s because she couldn’t afford not to. He left no savings for her and she still had to pay off the house, even though they had lived in it since the early 1960s. She passed away a few years ago.

He had been married three times before marrying my grandmother. I don’t mean all of this to sound bad. I heard he had a really rough childhood, he was terrified of his mother who was emotionally and probably physically abusive. He would come home from school as a young child and sit on the curb outside until his father came home from work because he was too scared to go inside to be with his mother. I think this upbringing did numbers on him, drove him to drink, and have issues with women. He would leave money as amends to my mom and her sisters to make up for the yelling.

As a grandfather, I don’t really remember him much. He wasn’t that healthy when I have memories. He smoked a lot and his voice was very rash. I remember him calling me up to see him and I’d sit on his bed and we’d talk. To me, he was kind but looking back on it, I can sense he really didn’t know how to interact with me. He tried even though he wasn’t sure what to do. I am the only one in the family who didn’t have negative view on him. Which is important in what I’m about to tell you.

I had a dream of him a few years ago. I was in a cabin overlooking the mountains on a sunny day and I walked into the kitchen/living room and there he was. He called me over and I sat on his leg. I saw the lines in his face, and could smell his scent. He had on a crisp white button up shirt. And I heard his voice without the smoker’s raspiness. It was him, only a happier and healthier him. He asked how I was and told me to tell my grandmother and my mom and her sisters how sorry he was for how he treated them. I played stupid and acted like I didn’t know what he was talking about. He didn’t explain what to apologize for, because he knew that I knew. He just said that he loves them very much and that he’s sorry for everything and that he misses them. I woke up in awe, I think that dream changed the way I viewed him. He wasn’t a bad person, he may have did some bad things, but he had a kind soul. It was just clouded.

I was speaking with my grandmothers sister a few months ago, and she said he actually had a very big heart and was a bit shy. My great aunt said that even though he had his issues, he was a gentle soul at the core. Which pretty much solidified how I felt about him in the dream.

When I look at his chart, I see the kind nature (minus the alcohol) is the Pisces, the explosive temper is the mars-pluto, his love of material items is the Taurus ascendant, his attraction to my grandmother (Scorpio) which is in the 7th house, and his sternness is the Saturn in the 1st.

What a powerful dream you had, I bet you had transits forming septiles to your chart the day you had it, I feel you met with him in another realm.

Your Sun septiles his North node too so you have Sun septile Northnode double whammy! Wowwww That definitely explains it.

I am going to see if a key asteroid was activating either of your nodes or suns that day.

Thank you for looking into this. I knew it wasn’t a dream. It was way too life like and real to be a dream. My family said he chose me because I was the only one who didn’t have a bad view on him. My cousin was too young to remember him and my brother had been around long enough to know more about him. So he chose me. Plus I’m really intuitive as is.

I too had an interesting experience several years after my grandmother passed. She came to me in the dream world, she looked happy and was going up the stairs in my first childhood home (I hadn't had a dream of her in years) and that same day out of the blue her old neighbor reaches out to me via Facebook whom I easily had not talk to in over a decade. She told me she needs to get a hold of my parents bc she is interested in buying my grandparent's apartment (both dead). My grandparents were close to that family so to be able to sell their home to someone who would honor it and is trust worthy was a big relief, we were all attached to that home and it was the last piece of them. Her daughter is living there now with her husband and child, I use to play with her as a child and sleep over at her place.
