Topic: Is Cancer or Pisces considered more "feminine"?

Is there such thing as those two signs having a pure "yin" energy? If Pisces is the most feminine sign then why are Cancer men more feminine than Pisces men? What does all this mean?Pisces is considered the most feminine sign but it is ruled by Neptune? But I ask, as to why when people are influenced than Neptune, they are more or less? When people are influenced by the moon, they tend to act more feminine. I'm just curious.  IP: Logged |

Pisces moon and rising here, I have my feminine qualities but for the most part consider myself a tomboy. Don't wear make up, dresses, and I keep my hair short. The signs are one thing, but I think Aspects would have more influence in what makes someone feminine or masculine.
In my opinion Sun-Moon, Moon-Venus, Venus-Mars, or Sun/Venus-Neptune are definitely the ones that bring out someone's feminine side. IP: Logged |

Cancer is ruled by a feminine planet and is a feminine sign. Pisces is a feminine sign ruled by a masculine planet. There a few other feminine signs ruled by masculine planets that aren't thought of as "feminine": Scorpio (Pluto), Virgo (Mercury), and Capricorn (Saturn). Taurus is a feminine sign ruled by a feminine planet and I don't really think of Taurus as "feminine" the same way that I think of Cancer as "feminine". I don't really know why I don't, though: maybe it's because of the more "rugged" Taurus people that I've known. I think that the gentle types of the Pisces and Cancer signs are what may make some people think of femininity and "softness" more than anything else. That, plus the intuition and sensitivity. I'd also say, too, that some Pisces people have a lot of Aquarius and Aries in their charts. I don't know very many Aquarius or Aries "girly girls". So, the reason why some Pisces ladies might not be girly is because of those two influences. I knew a heavily Aqua-influenced Pisces who did not dress feminine at all: always wore things like cargo pants, camouflage, very masculine things. Only her hair was really girly, and her voice. I give well-deserved place in feminine hall of fame to Pisces,because of Venus' exaltation.Taurus and Cancer,and there is Libra also (but Libra operates on different level) IP: Logged |

I always viewed Cancer as being the most feminine because the moon usually represents the archetype of the mother.IP: Logged |

It depends really. I have some planets in Pisces (Sun,Mars,Mercury,Saturn) yet most people who know me would NOT describe me as feminine. Maybe because of some of my aspects like Sun Conj. Mars and such. Or maybe even my Pluto,Moon, and Ascendant all being in Sagittarius. I do know many more Cancer that would be consider more feminine but not "nice" or "soft". Would you consider Scorpio to be one of the most feminine cos it’s ruled by Pluto a feminine planet too ? It’s of water element and ruled by a feminine planet but you see that fixed energy and scorpion symbol just surpasses everything so IMO Every aspect of astrology has an impact on the zodiac signs especially the constellations ,symbols and modalities, yes ruling planets but Jupiter is a masculine planet that rules Pisces not Neptune…..if we claim Neptune rules Pisces don’t forget that CERES is a feminine asteroid that is the true ruler of Virgo and Ceres in our birth chart indicates womanhood and mother ,but Pisces is mutable water , if we say it’s because Venus is exalted in Pisces then how is cancer feminine cos Jupiter is exalted in that sign even libra with Saturn exaltation lol fixed energy is masculine energy that’s why Taurus is considered more masculine than Virgo and all earth signs are equally logical & sensual ,Libra and Taurus are not more feminine than Virgo cos they’re ruled by Venus ,this is only for western astrology and Vedic but in every part of astrology in all cultures Virgo is known as the woman of the signs and like literally the only feminine symbol , Libra is a masculine sign cos it’s cardinal air even if it’s ruled by Venus , cancer I agree cos of the moon and it’s a water sign , Virgo is mutable earth which makes it more receptive than the other two earth signs , receptivity is the main femininity we’re talking about in astrology, it will be very shallow to just conclude some signs are the most feminine cos of it’s ruling planet , Gemini is even the most feminine/ receptive air sign cos it’s mutable , Taurus is symbolized by a very masculine animal, the ruling planets are like the parents of the signs , it affects the personality of the signs but there are other aspects like I mentioned earlier that has more impact, Virgo is literally the only female in astrology and yes ruled by mercury a convertible planet which means it’s a masculine planet regarded as the morning star in Gemini and a feminine planet regarded as the evening star in Virgo , if Venus and moon makes these signs you mentioned most feminine, the first embodiment of Venus was Inanna regarded as the first Virgo goddess and the Moon is Virgo’s esoteric ruler so imo CANCER , VIRGO & PISCES are the most feminine even if Pisces is ruled by a masculine planet….the bullheadedness of Taurus and that fixed energy screams masculine, Libra is exalted in SATURN the father so libra is not even included, hope I’m not being misunderstood!!!IP: Logged |

We’re ruled by Jupiter , also we’re a mutable sign , all mutable signs should be considered kinda feminine especially PISCES & VIRGO then CANCER IP: Logged |

Taurus has a lot of masculine energy, it’s a fixed sign , I agree with cancer tho , then Pisces then Virgo before Taurus.......honestly ruling planets aren’t the only aspects in astrology that tells whether a sign is feminine or not , there are symbols, glyphs , modalities , houses , planets in both exoteric and esoteric astrology even constellations and Judging by this with good logic then Pisces should be the most feminine followed by cancer and Virgo

I strongly disagree with libra cos if you put Pisces cos of exaltation then libra is exalted in Saturn the father , Virgo , Pisces , Cancer & Taurus are the top four for most feminine......LIBRA is cardinal air exalted in a masculine planet, that’s very very masculine IP: Logged |
