Have you felt like your IC in your draconic chart best described your home environment growing up? It was something that I thought of and doing research on it, it makes sense. This IC description resonated most with me. In my Draconic Chart my IC falls in Virgo, and this makes a lot of sense. Growing up, my mom was a nutritionist that was very strict with what I ate and what was healthy for me. We never got anything that had high fructose corn syrup at all when I was younger, but now with my sister growing up she has been severely easy on her to the point where we get it all of the time. Growing up, I had to deal with a lot of issues relating to my parent's health, one prominent struggle for them being able to find healthcare for my mom was struggling with stage four breast cancer. I head to deal with people who were very anal-retentive and had OCD (my grandma being an example, putting blankets on absolutely everything and making me change my socks every-time we came into her house). I would always get criticized for not being helpful enough around the house and doing the chores I was asked (could also be saturn in the 6th) and my dad especially was very critical about me developing work ethic. Does this idea of the Draconic IC describing your family situation fit you more? Why is this true for me? Is there a point in time where the natal chart will "activate" in my years? ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

Yes, actually it does!My Draco IC is in Cancer, with Draco Moon in Gemini. My Mom has actually a Cancer-ASC. my DAd has Gemini MC. I come from a very closely knit Family, there were always grandparents living with us, or my mom`s younger sister, who grew up with us. Nowadays as there are no grandparents anymore, there is my Little nephew, whom we see at least 3-4 times a week.
The centre of the Family is actually the kitchen table, around which all are gathered and discussing, talking, philosophizing. Education, School was always extremely important for both my parents, to feel they provided us the best school-education possible (and they did). A lot of talk about literature, theatre, but also about children, education, politics, social conditions etc. And my mom is cooking all the time, she sais she does not want to do it anymore, but she is doing it nevertheless. I think it`s her way of knowing that everyone undrstands how much she cares (we understand her caring anyway, but she apparently Needs to do that for herself). She can be a Little over protective and Controlling, but don`t tell her that. It would hurt her immensely to be seen like that. IP: Logged |

^ Ditto.Draconic IC is in Cancer w/Draconic Moon in Cancer. My mom is a Cancer ASC as well. She was (and is) emotional, protective, and nurturing. She loves to cook huge, made from scratch meals. She keeps saying that she won't be able to do it anymore, but she continues to do it anyway because it's her way of showing her love for her family. I grew up with a large family surrounding me, but we've all since went our separate ways. IP: Logged |

Well, Draconic IC in Gemini fits me a lot more than IC in Pisces. In fact, my mother IS a Gemini. My dad's parents died when I was young and I have since then lost touch with my aunts and cousins. I'd like to know how my cousins grew up, but I'll probably never know. My mom and her side of the family value education highly and I've had more contact with her family while growing up. Unfortunately, my mom's parents are also no longer alive, so my mom is the one left to support my education financially. I think my education could be better, but I take what I can get and learn the rest with Google. Dad didn't like school. He thinks it's weird whenever I complain about getting C's. Additionally, I didn't make friends easily and I was often bullied at school up until a point. For this reason alone, I devoted most of my childhood to either my schoolwork or my Internet communications with online friends. When school became an effort, I didn't make good grades for a couple years and then I remember becoming a perfectionist in 8th grade for some reason that I can't recall. IP: Logged |

My draconic IC is in Cancer, and idk if that fits. I identify with it somewhat, but I also have a natal Cancer MC/Capricorn IC, and Moon conjunct MC, so I already have some of those traits. My dad is a Cancer, but I remember hearing that the father can be represented by the 10th house, sometimes the 4th though. All I know is that there was not much nurturing in my home, and I had to basically nurture myself, so that fits more with my natal Cap IC not my draconic. I do have a strong need for roots though, and children are incredibly important to me, but that could be due to my natal. So my personal example is not conclusive, sorry!I would look to your natal for more clues about your home and parents. I can help if you need it. Like in my childhood home, the roles were reversed, my dad was a stay at home and my mom was the breadwinner. So the moon kind of represents both my mom and dad. ------------------ "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace." -Dalai Lama IP: Logged |

Pisces, if my chart is rightI have a 4H NN trine 8H Pisces moon (tropical) so everything I would say about that seems to apply here. I experienced my early life as a Pisces moon typically does: I was sensitive, confused, wanting to be alone much of the time, etc. IP: Logged |

Hmm my IC is virgo and my mom is virgo sun. My draconic IC is scorpio and my dad is scorpio rising taurus sun. I always wondered since my MC is pisces, why it didn't really describe my dad.. but with draconic MC taurus it makes more sense. IP: Logged |

While on the topic of parents, both my parents have pisces south node conjunct my venus. In composite chart with my dad, sun is pisces at 29 degrees. Maybe the last lifetime of our karmic interaction. We both have balsamic moons also.IP: Logged |

Thanks for all the responses! They were interesting to read. I was just surprised that this IC description fit me so much more than the Aquarius IC description. I of course have Mercury on my IC, but it wouldn't manifest the same way. ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

I've read that since your draconic chart is bascially the chart of your true soul, your IC is "the family your soul wanted" .. maybe you got lucky and your real family proved to be like this?"The Draconic IC - this is something I learned from Alyssa Sharpe’s video, which I recommend watching. She explains that the Draconic Imum Coeli (the 4th house cusp) is the family we expected to get when we incarnated, the family we really needed. The natal IC is the one we actually got." http://pegasusastrology.com/post/139830421970/draconic-astrology Here's a link, describing the draconic ICs and "the family you wanted": https://the-air-heads.tumblr.com/post/156866677625/draconic-imum-coeli-the-family-you-wanted IP: Logged |

Interesting! I have it in Capricorn with my draco moon also in capricorn and my parents are both Capricorns. Specially my mother I would describe her as a very driven woman. She was the director of her department when I was a kid, she is a doctor. I always felt she called the shots in our home and had the more dominant personality between her and my dad. I saw her as bossy, I felt she tried turning me into her personal assistant. This forced me to learn to assert myself and say NO to her, my tropical IC is in Aries. I saw her like a superwoman who can do anything. My supervisor is a capricorn with moon in aries and she is leaving our center and it made me really sad the news, I realized that I saw her like a mother, she feels like home. IP: Logged |

My Draco Ic is Taurus. It was quite a stable environment. So I guess it applies. My parents were conservative with money. My Mom was a single married parent-as she was a lot more involved with us than my Dad. I don't quite know how to interpret the Ic(Father) now. Especially since finding out that my Dad is actually my step Dad. My biological father didn't raise me. So how would one interpret that really. I would have expected Neptune /Uranus affecting my Ic. But not really. My step-Dad is nothing "Taurean" at all. More "Leonine" in my experience. Downright self involved really. Chiron (natal) is in the Ic 4th house. And that would probably explain the very painful relationship I had with him. Interestingly however,my biological father has my natal Chiron conjunct his Draconic Moon. And his Draco Sun conjunct my natal Ic/Moon. That means that his Draco Moon is in my Draco Ic.

Sorry to hear about you having a hard time with your step dad and not growing up with your biological father!
About interpreting the IC when your biological father didn't raise you.. I think that your IC mostly means the person who raised you (in cases where it's foster parents, I think they would be the people connected to the IC). Also, I think some people use H5 oder H10 for the father ... Maybe there is a house for step parents as well, which would be the 7th house (spouse, life partner) from your mother's house (usually H4) which would mean H10, as well... What's your natal IC? You only mentioned your draconic IC in taurus, right? And what's going on in your 5th and 10th house? By the way, my sister's draconic IC is also conjunct our mother's draconic moon on capricorn 20 (EXACT) so that seems to be a theme... Actually if you look into draconic/natal comparison's you will usually find a lot of conjunctions with people of your family, close friends and lovers/partners
