What placements would cause a person to have intense focus, to the point of neglecting other matters like eating, sleeping, etc? IP: Logged |

I'm gonna say 8th house stuff, my 8th house moon gets me obsessive about certain things where I have laser light focus on trying to find the answer. I imagine mars in 8th might be similar? IP: Logged |

Aside from the cliche Pluto/8th house aspects or placements Hard Mars aspects Neptune/12th house hard aspects Hard Uranus aspects Chiron in aspect to Pluto, specifically the sqaure I've read to be very powerful, as one that has it I'd say I attest to that. This is all that I can think of at the moment. IP: Logged |

Mercury-Pluto and Mercury-Saturn are both placement capable of intense focus. Scorpio Mercury can also fixate on something and will not stop until all the 'digging' and researching is complete; Pluto-Mercury is very similar. Mercury-Saturn can focus so intensely that the native may become lost in the task at hand and does not like interruptions at all. This Mercury works until he/she is too exhausted or frazzled to work anymore. Another possibility is Mercury-Mars for a mind that never stops going, even when it should - specifically for sleep.I think Fox Mulder on The X-Files as a prime example of someone with intense focus, often to the detriment of his health. I always imagined he would have Mercury in Scorpio; lo and behold, when I figured out his astrology according to his character bio, he does! Nothing broke his concentration; he sacrificed sleep for his work and fought tirelessly for his cause. Very Scorpio-like. [Yeah, I'm still a big dorky fan of the show, always will be. My Mercury is in Scorpio trine Saturn.] IP: Logged |

Interesting! I'm curious about your reasoning behind hard Uranus aspects. Do you mean to Mercury or Mars? I can see this being accurate for myself and I'd be interested to hear more about where you drew your ideas from.

Thank you sweet-scorpion! I love reading your interpretations. You make it simple enough for us rookies. My little boy has mercury,nn,pluto and mars conjunct in capricorn(9th house). I have noticed his ability to intensely focus on something and ignore outside distractions. I have no clue if this will change in the future : ( IP: Logged |

You're most welcome! And thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Your son absolutely has the capacity for intense focus. I'm sure he'll do excellently when he pursues a higher education. I highly doubt that his powers of concentration will waver. In fact, according to the nature of Capricorn, they will only increase with study and hard work. He sounds like a brilliant kid. Uranus trine moon Mars square moon Moon in Gemini Pluto conjunct ascUmmm Idk what else. Ohhhhhh Neptune hard aspect to 12th I can focus regardless of what's going on. My friend has somewhat similar placements and he's the same. He's actually one way or the other. Hyper focused, or doesn't know if he's coming or going. lol IP: Logged |

Saturn-Mars, Saturn-Mercury, Saturn in 10th or 6th house (getting a job done)Saturn is very disciplined, so strong aspects to saturn or strong saturn placement would make a person extremely disciplined… and scorpio/taurus and the 2nd/8th house is intensity, but mostly scorpio IP: Logged |

Why would Neptune influence cause intense focus? IP: Logged |

You're welcome! He seems quite smart. I'm sure he'll excel throughout his life, especially when seeking a higher education. Aries Moons can be real powerhouses and very emotionally independent. However, the fact that he has such grounded Capricorn energy in his natal chart will balance everything out and probably make him less likely to take foolish risks, unless he has some hard Uranus aspects to a personal planet. Honestly I thought about the energy and how it closes itself off in a way and it made sense. I think any personal planet in hard aspect to Uranus would help create this or aid it. @socialgraffiti I picked Neptune because it made more sense than anything else. Neptune is dreamy, secretive, delusional, causes obsession and so many other things. IP: Logged |

How are you sweet-scorpion? U r really a sweetheart. Thank you so much. He is emotionally independent. Gives me silent treatments now and then : ( Has great emotional strength and intergrity. Even at this age he is his own person. His headmistress made him to skip nursery and admitted him directly to KG. Too young for his class. BUT SS, I took a look at his chart and arrrghhh yes there are some Hard uranus aspects. Uranus(11th house conjunct Jupiter in Pisces) squares Sun in Sag(8th house). Now Im worried. He does have a difficult chart. Aries moon in 12th house. Sun in 8th house. Taurus rising. And Venus in scorpio 7th house. And i am derailing this thread. Anyways i hope he does well like you said : ) I dont know why I worry this much : ( U have a good day SS : ) Take care. My apologies to socialgraffiti. IP: Logged |

I'm doing pretty well, how are you? Thanks for the sweet compliments. I can sense you're a really lovely person as well. You have a gentle personality so your son's emotional independence can probably be a bit shocking or unsettling to you at times, though I can tell you really care about him and try to understand where he's coming from and I applaud you for that. Having Uranus con. Jupiter in the 11th also shows a tendency toward being socially independent. His Sun in Sag in the 8th shows a really probing, intense personality and a natural tendency toward research and occult studies. Moon in the 12th in Aries shows a tendency to bottle some emotions up, and also the tendency to avoid crying even in private...as if emotions can really be controlled, and the desire to intensely control them is because sometimes they can be incredibly overwhelming for this person. Sun sq. Uranus shows a tendency to be very private, considering the 8th house influences. Despite some challenging aspects, I sense that he does have a brilliant mind. He may need some help with opening up to socialize with other people because of the 11H Uranus-Jupiter conjunction sq. his 8H Sun. That was the biggest issue that immediately came to mind, and not trying to 'boss' the other kids in his class too much, LOL. I sense he will do great things with his amazing ambition and intellect! Hi29th degree of Virgo. It's the sabian symbol for maximum focus. ------------------- Aspects like Mercury Conj Jupiter (in the 6th) both trine Saturn (in 10th) can be great indicators of this too. ------------------- Also mercury conj asteroids Discovery, Sherlock in Gemini/Virgo or fixed signs. Hope this helps. -Have a Good Day. ------------------ ~Il n'est rien de réel que le rêve et l'amour~ IP: Logged |

Oh, interesting! Thanks for sharing. I have my MC in Virgo in the 29th degree, and I'm very driven and focused in my career. Maybe that helps me never lose hope in my dream of being a writer. IP: Logged |

Traditional means getting up at 4in the morning : (( and wearing a Saree phew! Oh u are so right! My son bosses everybody. And he diesnt cry. Im shocked you were able to see this from the placements. He refuses to cry unless he is with me alone. But he is very popular at school. Must be that Sag sun with a 9th house stellium? He is a bit shy though : )) Thank you soo much SS. You been so generous : ) cant thank you enough. Im feeling much better now. Aww thanks sweetheart : ) IP: Logged |

Hello again! So glad to know you're doing well. I hope you had a wonderful time at the festival, and that the rest of your year is prosperous. You're very welcome, too! I really love to help people in any way I can. I'm glad my insights ring true. If you ever want to talk to me in private or need advice, you can find my e-mail in the Brown Owl School mods section. I absolutely did sense that he probably won't cry unless he's in a private, trustworthy space. That's common with a 12H Moon. And Aries Moon can be bossy, LOL. I like this Moon placement but it can be a handful in kids. Having Jupiter in the 11th will make him, generally, popular. His Sun squaring it from the 8th may make him shy at times, as you said, but in general he'll be social. IP: Logged |
