Transit Saturn is going to soon conjunct my IC. I am kind of nervous because the 4th house is such a sensitive area in the chart, and I also have my moon there, so I am very worried considering the harsh nature of Saturn. What's even worse is that Saturn will go retrograde and forward again right on my 4th house angle for over a year. I am going to be moving out of my parents house in a couple of months so I am sure the transit has something to do with that. What happened when Saturn was in your 4th house? Did anythingpositive happen or was it mostly bad?

I met my husband, moved back home after 18 years in another country, stopped drinking alcohol and finally grew up!
Mind you, this all sounds great but it hasn't been easy because in Los Angeles I was URANUS ie wild, free, erratic and electric. But I paid the price for that in many ways ; both mentally and physically. It was more FUN back then but I am happier now because I am free in another way.

My parents moved into our current house during the time I experienced this transit. It was also the house Saturn was transiting when my brother was born.

For me, this transit was terrible. I was too young to tell my parents something was wrong with me and they had to focus on my brother more than me since, naturally, he was the newborn.

It took doctors 5 years. I repeat. It took doctors 5 years to figure out that I needed nasal surgery. When I was born, my nose was crooked, so I only had one nasal passage open for breathing. When my brother was born, him being the main priority planted seeds in my head that became problems with self-esteem and self-worth later in life. I grew up comparing myself to him until I could regain awareness of how my brother's birth impacted me. It was just unfortunate timing. My parents didn't realize I was born with breathing problems from being without a nasal passage in one nostril. That was the job of doctors to figure out.

This transit seriously wrecked me. My parents weren't responsible for the messages I internalized as a child, but my inner child is still wounded.

My dad was diagnosed with cancer, the hospital he was in became my home for a year and a half since I was spending there about 16-18 hours daily. The second longest and most horrible time of my life.

When my father died lots of major transits were happening at the same time so definately for that I'm not "blaming" Saturn

I broke up with a man after 3 years, experienced severe depression for a year (without anybody noticing), and shut myself down at home the majority of time.

I dislike those years of my life a lot, but I know that's past and part of who I am now.

It was terrible. The scariest period of my life so far.

However, I can definitely say the transit affects NOT only your home and parents. It's much bigger. For me, the transit of Saturn in the 4th house was a major, huge turn on a life path. The direction of my life (profession, worldviews, priorities, perception) changed for good and I myself changed completely. It was not just a turn to the left or the right. It was a fall into abyss, so it seemed. Only 3 years later I realized it's been all for the better because I've become much better after the transit.

I've had Saturn in the 4th for most of the past couple years (conjunct IC in March-June and then again in December last year), and thus far nothing terrible has happened on the homefront. My life overall has been pretty much status quo for the last few years, despite some major transits, so idk.

The first transit of Saturn through my 4th and conjunct my Moon (1988-90, ages 18-20) was far harder than this one. It gets easier with maturity and with a more mature willingness to change attitudes and build self-respect.

My birth chart has the same (Moon in 4th), but Saturn is just nearing the end of its run transiting my 4th house.

The last couple years I've had challenges at home culminating in recent months with my wife's weird late/wee hours and irregular (off days) work schedule that leaves us with a much narrower overlap of time each day. Other things that are more psychological that have brought out some of my internal issues (control issues, tendency for melancholy, brooding, frustration/low confidence turning into low energy).

I have especially been getting too caught up in the business of keeping a household "running" (paying bills, etc). I think it's the most basic thing to avoid during this transit. Yes, it is an opportunity for change, to reorganize your home situation, to get your private life in order. BUT avoid blaming self/mate/others no matter what. Look underneath for the underlying fears (insecurity) or issues. Saturn down in the 4th can persuade us to over-emphasize control and "order" and slip into blame games. I've fallen into that, especially during Saturn's transit conjunct my Moon, which just ended this past week. I've had to work more for the emotional connection and mutual understanding that make domestic harmony and healthy support in our personal lives. My wife and I have had to have some serious talks a couple times and I had to listen to her point of view and adjust my attitude and outlook.

It's not about what might happen. It is about taking control of your interior and personal life without being harsh with yourself or others.

Trust me, you're already talking about it in a way that will worsen your frame of mind and interfere with good judgment. The one thing I DID NOT do with this transit of Saturn conjunct my Moon/in 4th is believe any of the negative hype. I knew it was a window of opportunity to deal with some things that I wouldn't like facing -- about myself -- and I did anticipate a more melancholic tendency and prepared for it as I saw fit. My thoughts at times tried to make it about the women in my life (Moon) like my wife or mother. Guess what? My mom and wife are doing pretty well overall. It's about me and my issues (fears, insecurity, self-esteem, etc) and how I take control of what is mine to control -- without being a jerk.

Know there will be challenges, but don't look at it with apprehension. It is a chance to get your private life in better order, functioning better by reorganizing your priorities and how you use your time. BUT you will have to deal with fear and tighten up your priorities.

Worst thing people typically do is over-react to their own fear of the worst (insecurity) and make bad decisions or just withdraw from supportive people.

Saturn conjunct natal Moon is a time for internal emotional inventory in which you find out where you really are with you -- and with fear.

Consider it a learning process about fear and how it affects thinking by the tendency to project a bad outlook instead of looking at those possible scenarios as what you are afraid of. Find a better way to deal with the fear. Create a different, constructive mindset. As quickly as possible, every time it is possible replace fear and disconnection with love and reconnection.

Expect to have some days or even weeks when you don't feel great. Resolve to take care of yourself and be as kind to yourself as you can. Prepare for challenges, but don't expect the worst.

It is 90% attitude and very psychological.
