What kind of traits could appear in chart of a person who is absolutely obsessed with being young, or is extremely afraid of getting older and look older?

I think of it as an issue to do with fear, immaturity and lack of depth.

It's a fixation on appearance and materialism, over character development and what I call genuine beauty. Lots of biological factors to take into account, as well.

But, in any event, I think more than anything it's a specialty of Earth signs to be most obsessed with youth..

(Taurus = materialism and beauty. Virgo: need for perfection. Capricorn = fear)

I of course also would like to remain young and beautiful lol but I am coming to terms with my white hairs.

It's no big deal, really. We're born, we grow old, we die. What matters is who we are in the end, since that's what we take with us.

Yes indeed!

Also, especially South Korea - the are currently world leaders in beauty products and anti-age substances. Plastic surgery there is extremely common. So common, in fact, a parent will give her 15 year old daughter money for plastic surgery as a birth day present. Plastic surgery vouchers are often given out like candy. It's not just the women, but the men, too, way more often than any western man. They are quite literally obsessed with youth.

I do wonder about South Korea's astrology.

Venus in the 6th or in the 10th or aspecting an angular house. Taurus and Libra people also. I don't think I've ever met a Venusian who would dare say something like "I'll wear my wrinkles with pride" lol. Some Neptunians also seem to care for their youth and physical appearance but only when they are older.

I don't agree that Capricorns/Aquarians/Saturnians are obsessed with youth and age, they actually seem to care very little. If they start to age early then so be it, they rarely care enough to actively try and "reverse" it. I know a Saturn girl who cares for appearance in youth a lot but she has Libra ASC and Venus/Pluto in 10th.

Here is a double Cap - 1st house Mercury conjunct Vesta -Venus opposite Saturn, square Pluto,

I have been obsessed with my looks since I was born. My friends thing I have BDD. It causes a lot of pain and to the point I have started not going out because I dont like the way I look. I am 44. Am I ugly ? My friends, my lovers ( some of them the most popular ) says no. They say you are beautiful... I am not. Really. Yes, I have a charisma that can fill any room. I get noticed where ever I go. I dont wear make up, I dont do my hair. Even though I am complaining about how I look 7/24, I am not really doing much to look better...

I have such a strong distaste for aging that I might die just because of that.

And yes I will be taking botox etc soon.

fear, immaturity, lack of depth... I dont think these define me. Not at all.

Gemini and Taurus.

Taurus wants to look beautiful. And youth is associated with beauty.

Gemini wants to remain relevant. And being young means that you stay "in the loop". Gemini fears being outdated or not 'cool'

I'm scared of aging, for specific reasons, and I've missed out on certain things in life.

I do not lack depth or maturity. I think that kind of thinking is superficial in itself. People have all kinds of reasons for fearing the things they do.

For the record, we are all shallow and deep in certain areas. When I said what I said, it was regarding appearance and youth. It doesn't mean that this is all there is. Humans are multifaceted.

Now, if anyone were to chime in and say they are afraid of aging, or are overly concerned with appearing youthful (or what have you), no one would say "oh that's because you're so mature, so deep, so brave and fearless."

No, no one would say that. It makes no sense. The point is to be comfortable about being honest with others and with ourselves about our real motivations. I am not bereft of these aging issues, but let's call a spade a spade. If we think these fears are more meaningful than they are, those are just the narratives we tell ourselves to excuse our fears so that we do not have to be honest about it. That's just basic human psychology. There is no shame in it. Once we admit it, then we can truly deal with it and work on ourselves.
Sure, it can be rooted in many things. An example is, the parent thinks the child is ugly, therefore they do not give the child enough attention. Then, the child grows up traumatized by this, and internalizing the parents views and believing their own self world is derived from how they look. They go through life feeling awful, ugly and ashamed, and feeling unlovable. This unlovable feeling grows and is fed by their own belief which was created by their parents. Eventually the belief itself is what makes them "ugly" because they are spiritually mutilating themselves by harboring such an abusive relationship with themselves. We are our worse critics. Getting stuck there is one thing, learning to have a better view of ourselves is another.

There are plenty of anecdotes out there for why people feel the way they do about how they look, but ultimately, it all boils down to the same thing.

Something I've often noticed in people who dread how they look in such a profound manner (upbringing aside) it is because they are trying to externalize a feeling from within. They feel (usually unconsciously) they have something ugly about them character wise. It could even be preverbal.

Often it stems from something in them they are not completely aware of, something to do with their character. There was for example one girl I knew. She was the older sister of one of my good friends. She wanted full plastic surgery on her face. She believed she was ugly. Of course, no one thought she was ugly. She was pretty, actually. While she was a sweet girl, the thing is, she was terribly insecure, about nearly everything. When someone is governed by fear, it can really mess with your head. And because she was so insecure and believed she was ugly, there was an unconscious confirmation bias going on with her all the time. Whenever she experienced rejection, bad relationships, breakups, spoiled friendships, she blamed her looks. I'm not saying everyone does this, but it's just an example that comes to mind.

She first started off with a nose job. But that didn't really change her, just how she looked. She didn't get to the root. She still experienced hardships, and she began to become sour, bitter, hypersensitive. She thought everything everyone said was a dig and took things super personally. It was to the point that you couldn't even joke with her casually about anything without her turning mean. She'd accuse people of having awful intentions. That's the thing with insecurity. It gets fed to the point that eventually the insecurities we have become all we know, and we can no longer see the world or ourselves objectively. Everything is colored through our fear and self criticism, and we begin to believe others are criticizing us the way we criticize ourselves.

There's another case, interestingly he's got a Capricorn moon. A friend of mine, he believed beautiful people were better than everyone else. But this belief made him angry and hateful of attractive people. Whenever he saw someone beautiful he'd automatically assume they were shallow and stupid, and had it easy, by default. Little did he realize, his judgement was in and of itself shallow. I did in a roundabout way point out to him that regardless of how someone looks, it is who they are that matters. He didn't need to dislike people just because they were attractive. He also judged himself, thinking he was unattractive, and therefore undesirable, and began to try to make attractive people feel undesirable because he wanted to bring them down to his level. He valued their looks above all else.

But anyhow, the point is that we are so much better than we are, and we should be kinder to ourselves, find love for ourselves and heal whatever it is that makes us feel small or afraid. Everyone is beautiful, young or old, but if we don't find ways to feel it in our bones, then it's such a shame because we'd be wasting our unique brilliance.

I don't know if there is anything that anybody could say, regarding their narratives for their fears regarding their looks, or obsession with physical appearance, that would leave me thinking "golly, you're thinking is so mature and profound!" **snaps fingers** The best we can all do is realize we've got areas where we're mature and fearless, and others where we're insecure and immature, and there isn't any shame. Just part of the human condition.

I am one of them, I am thinking of Chiron in 1st H? Venus conjuct Mars and square Pluto?
Uranus opposite SUn and ASC?

I don't really think it's that swallow to be honest or at least it isn't for me.
It's not about beauty (not that I dislike it if I stay always fresh and beautiful) but it makes me fell like my end is closer close and I don't have time to do the things I want to do. Facial lines remind me that time goes by and that I don't have much left. Most want to stay 20-30 forever.. Not many will say that they want to stay 5/10/15 yo
That's because at that time you can be independent and free and you have plenty of time to decide what you wanna do carrier wise and have fun with friends and lovers.. It's the best time if there aren't major health problems or really bad situations like deaths of loved ones etc. You have so many opportunities at that age. Everything is just so good compared to any other age. Plenty of opportunities and freedom. While you get older opportunities are way less and health problems may come your way to the point that you can not do daily work normally. At least that's how I have it on my mind. Older age is connected with problems and less opportunities. I happen to have lost the years I was yearning for the most because of deaths health problems etc.. They almost 9 years of the best part of my youth completely wasted. It just makes me so depressed.. I literally feel that the point of life is that age of 18-28 yo (max 30). I wouldn't care if I died at the age of 30 if only i didn't have the problems I do the last years.

Yes I do. Why though? Tbh I feel the Venus conjuct Mars and Pluto square Venus but not the Venus in Leo. I read your comment being attracted to younger guys.
I am attracted to guys 1-2,5 years older than me. I have Capricotn DSC conjuct Neptune and Uranus both opposite my Sun

Taurus
Gemini

To some extent libra and capricorn too

Taurus is scared of aging and would do beauty procedures to keep themselves young and beautiful

Gemini acts childish and hangs out and often marries younger people

Libra and saturn are conscious of aging too.. Libra because they mourn their lost youthful beauty... Capricorn becuase they're afraid of not having anything achieved by the time they're older

Applies also to people with sun in the 2nd,3rd,7th and 10th

This is me and I think the biggest culprit is my Venus in Capricorn and it’s aspects. Particularly semi-squares go my sun and sac and opposition to Jupiter and conjunction to Saturn and Neptune

Taurus! I know couple Taurus girls who are basically obsessed about their appearance. A little skin imperfection what nobody can see could be a reason for a lot of problems in their life. I remember saying one of them: “ But skin cannot be perfectly tight and smooth all the time like a balloon”, she responded with complete non-understanding.
It would be a lie if I say it’s not important for Libra, but I’d never want to be so obsessed like that.
