Topic: Do composite charts create feelings?

I have a "friend" who I feel deeply for, but I am not too sure what the feelings are. It is like we spend time in each other's energy, and feel connected but we hardly speak. The synastry really isn't that connective, the composite is good but hardly hooks into our natal. I have looked into past lives with him and there is nothing significant there. Like what the hell? I am not after him romantically, but why do I have this longing feeling? Perhaps it is a wounding thing that you can see in the charts? Or somehow the composite does click in for me, and it pulls me into the energy? IP: Logged |

composite chart does not create feelings but shows the energy generated after some time has been spent together on a regular basis.the synastry looks pretty connective though with quite a few nice bonding aspects. your relationship house rulers are getting hit by his planets. this is probably why you feel pulled in. also the composite hooks into your natal and not his. composite sun conjunct mercury would imply much communication after certain synergy. however both your mercuries are not really connected in synastry to trigger that yet. that seems to be where the longing comes from since you are unable to analyze these feelings with him. with virgo/mercury ruling your 7th and mercury square chiron, communication/analysis would be something you would crave especially if lacking in a connection. his saturn on your mercury/chiron could be frustrating. would you be after him romantically if he did not have a girlfriend? how well do you really know each other aside from these unspoken feelings? perhaps these feelings represent something you might want in a connection with someone, but not necessarily with him. But yeah, to be honest I don’t know if I’d ever pursue something with him if he didn’t have a girlfriend… and it seems kinda unrequited on his side, he gets sort of jealous if I seem into someone else - but yes I think it’s more of he has something that id want in someone but I’m not exactly sure what it is. We have known each other for about a year now - but are not suuper close, I do see him often though. IP: Logged |

ye i yam i yam. can relate somewhat and wasnt sure how to help you figure it out in your other thread. have been trying to understand my own feelings in a connection with someone that has been going on for 7 years. astrology can only explain so much and much of the connection is still as mysterious as the first day. Totally, it can be confusing sometimes. I put a lot of stock on these charts often times, and they do generally reflect how my intuition is communicating to me. Just with this one there’s a huge question mark sometimes. But I am not keen to focus into a connection that is not meant for me, and I suppose that’s why I need external answers because I cannot see clearly myself, or I cannot trust my own intuition 100%. I’m embarrassed enough that I’m more so attached to this connection 😅

Also, I’m still learning - how does the composite hook into my natal? Is it because of like the venus being in pieces (it’s close to my ascendent is it?)and the sun/mercury in Virgo? IP: Logged |

I am not a huge Comp fan. I trust the synastry more. Often, they are very different. The Comp approximates what will happen if both people "meet in the middle" so to speak. The synastry is actual placements.------------------

Not sure how to answer this. The composite chart is a symbol, and only a reductionist symbol for two people whose lives are merged by marriage or commitment to cohabitate. If you want to understand your interaction you and your friend use synastry. That's more likely to answer your questions about the relational dynamics.------------------

the combo of pluto/sun, pluto/venus, moon/nn, sun/moon, moon/moon, chiron/mars and maybe chiron/moon (depending on TOB) would reflect those feelings. and since you two hardly speak (also reflected in the lack of mercury aspects), it would make sense for the longing and craving to connect more (reflected in your natal).

I won't share too much, but I know he has cheated in the past (other relationships or ship) and it is one of his commitments in this one not to stray, he doesn't want to fall back into old patterning - he is trying to get out of that old mode. It is important for him to stay on this track he is on, which I agree with - and I would not interrupt, even though I do pick up things from him. I think essentially, something about him impacts me deeply - it connects me even if it is mostly platonic. And yeah everything you described above would play a role... i suppose TOB would affect the impact degree of the moon/moon. moon moves about 13 degrees a day, would not be too far off. does he seem like an aqua or cap moon? his moon is aspecting your saturn too. but yes, the synastry shows a deeper connection, no matter what kind of -ship you two have.
