To me, it seems like the Part of Fortune is often overlooked and not enough is written about it. But I find it to be incredibly significant in synastry especially, at least when it comes to close relationships and partnerships. For example, my parents (married for over 20 years) have their Parts of Fortune trine each other's Junos with 0 and 1 degree orbs. My mom's POF is conjunct my dad's Moon, and exactly trine his Saturn. His POF is trine her Sun, sextile her Moon, trine her Mercury, trine her North Node, exactly square her Midheaven. And with my ex, who I had a very strong relationship with and who I think I might end up with ultimately, our Parts of Fortune are both in Cancer, conjunct each other's Jupiters with 0 and 2 degree orbs. In composite, we have POF and Jupiter conjunct at 9 and 10 degrees Cancer in the 4th house. With us in synastry (in addition to the double-whammy Jupiter/POF), my POF is square her Sun, sextile her Venus, opposite her Mars, square her Eros, opposite her Ascendant (conj. Dsc on the 6th house side), and exactly trine her Midheaven. Her POF is exactly quintile my Moon, exactly trine my Mercury, square my Venus, opposite my Chiron, exactly trine my Vertex, trine my Ceres, biquintile my Pallas, and quincunx my Eros. POF just seems really significant to me in general, because it's the integration point for Sun, Moon, and Ascendant. I wish there was more I could read about it and how important it seems to be in synastry, but also in the natal chart. IP: Logged |

The POF does seem to be overlooked. I'd like to learn more about the POF in synastry. In three of four cases in important relationships, I've noticed an exact or (1-3d) conjunction of the other person's POF to my Sun and ASC. In the fourth, an exact opposition to my Saturn.IP: Logged |

Wow! Yes, I really want to know more people's experiences with it for this reason. I feel that maybe it has to do with people who we are able to be integrated around? Like, those who make important aspects to our POF are those who help us channel our energy to that point, which is where we are most integrated and effective in life? IP: Logged |

I haven't noticed the effect of other people's planets to my POF. But those whose POF was conjunct my Sun and/or ASC, they were benevolent influences, similar to Jupiter now that I think of it. One was my best friend, one introduced me to his spiritual teacher, and the third brought intellectual enrichment. Edit: Don't know about the case of Saturn and the POF. This one is the most inspiring friendship of my life, but this may be due to many other aspects in the synastry. IP: Logged |

In my natal chart I have Fortune conjunct Uranus in Capricorn in house 8.and sextile my Venus Pisces house 10. It trines my husband's Venus and Mars all positive aspects on my end. It's the most financial stability I've ever experienced in a relationship. I think it is important to look into this. Money is a huge factor in relationships whether we like it or not. IP: Logged |

Financial issues do seem to be a big theme with the POF. And maybe it's kind of an indicator of how well you will be able to achieve security and manage resources in your relationship in general? Could be an indicator of long-term stability and ability to manage shared assets? Could definitely mean money but also things like time, energy, space, food, attention, etc. And in individual charts maybe showing the area that, when developed, will lead to the greatest "fortune" in managing and acquiring a variety of assets.
