Oh, so not Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio.

Maybe we should stick to resolving water resource problems here on Earth before spending time and effort on the Moon.

I disagree, simply because I believe human nature is much more likely to expand and consume more rather than constrict and control...it's the nature of life to expand.

i have long held the suspicion that "they" - the "in" crowd" - are spending so much on space (which could be used here to solve a LOT of problems!) because they are planning on jumping "ship" (earth) and leaving us to deal with the mess that has been made while they go on to the next frontier...if you look at history that is what we have done for as far back as the eye can see...

i doubt very much that there will be room on the spaceships for many of us! and i don't really believe that all those billions are just to satisfy scientific curiosity. they are looking for possible colonies to expand into. and to see who the competition might be out in the "last frontier".

unfortunately we have started our journey by messing with foreign territory, and by hurling out into space all the stuff that can't be dumped here. makes me sad, and mad!

but though you're right, it has been our nature to expand, nothing expands forever without a corresponding contracting phase. i wonder when THAT is due...?
