He won't be able to delete your posts. Blocking your posting abilities doesn't delete your posts. If you are determined to leave, you'll need to delete them yourself before you go - which I hope you wlll reconsider.

Moderators can delete whole threads; not sure about individual posts.
Although... there is a check box about deleting posts in the "edit" function... available to "forum leaders" only.

"Sorry, but only forum leaders are permitted to delete posts." is the error message I get.

Found this in the FAQs:

quote:
Editing Your Posts
You may edit or delete your own posts at any time. Just go to the topic where the post to be edited is located and you will see an edit icon on the line that begins "posted on..." Click on this icon to edit or delete the post. No one else can edit your post, except for the forum moderator or the bulletin board administrator. A note is generated at the bottom of each post that is edited so that every one knows when a post has been edited. Note that if your post was the start of a new topic, deleting your post will result in the removal of the entire topic (all replies after your topic will also be deleted).

We (me and my Mods) aren't going to go through and delete hundreds of Posts. Or...if you count all of the other people who request the same thing...tens of thousands of Posts. You can go through and edit your own down to simply one letter if you have the motivation to do so, but they will still remain in search engines for some time. I have said it time and again--don't post anything on a public Forum that you don't want other people to see.

I can ban you from posting. Or I can delete your account. If I delete your account, it will just show "unregistered" under your name.

Leaping - what is the point of Randall deleting your account?

The only difference will be that:

1. You will not be able to post again with this nickname.

2. You will not be able to access any old posts and delete them (ever!) - so all of your old posts will be on LL and in google, showing up - for ever.

If you want to delete posts, you can only do so while you are *still* registered.. as "leaping"

3. You will have the word unregistered" written under your name - everywhere you ever posted.. but all of the posts will still be there.
