I really don't have much time to discuss this issue right now. I have a show today that I'm doing to sell my perfumes, and I need to get ready.

If you'd like to discuss this further, please email me. If you don't care to do that, it will have to wait until later this evening. I am going offline now.

There is nothing to discuss, Abs.
What I have observed is a relaxed attitude from the other 3 moderators (or 2 as it seems Xodian is not around much). I don't know or need to know how you work it out amongst yourselves offline. The thread closings happen not at the point of somebody mentioning that a thread should be moved, but when you log in and see that Valus has dared to say anything. Then, of course, other threads need to be moved just so it looks like there is no personal bias.

Absinthe - Several people have expressed a problem with the amount of threads being moved. I think there has to be a change in the approach. The move is not always warranted.

There was no reason to move Valus' latest thread.

Then why do you and he keep complaining about things being moved to the proper place?

I have Randall's support on this, so you better discuss it with him.

Dynamitee,

He was discussing Philosophy, which belongs in Universal Codes...or Divine Diversities, since he was talking bout "God"

Sensible relocation of threads sounds more like a good idea for archiving when the discussions have burnt out. Moving threads when they are just opening looks like the moderator is too eager to get the thread out of their sight. Moving threads to forums with less traffic is a sure way of diminishing them more quickly. However, if those are the rules, those are the rules. FOR EVERYONE. EQUALLY. AT ALL TIMES.

It's the blatant display of personal bias toward a member from the moderator's side that I have a problem with.

I guess you have no problem being biased, Abs, and thus abuse your "moderatorship".

meh, in the scheme of life and all that is ...does it really matter? 40 years from now when we look back on our lives, will we even remember being upset about forum threads being moved? i don't think so. it is what it is.

Of course not, cpn. It's all petty. All of it. But the negative vibrations have already been created. Where do we go from here?

where we COULD go from here is to appreciate the fact that other forums are getting more traffic, that a closed thread is not lost but signposted to where you can NOW find it, and maybe just get over the playground "but mommy he hit me first" saga. but i suppose this kvetching will continue nonetheless.

kat,

Do you think that by comparing people to whining children,
"kvetching", you are somehow rising above this disagreement?

For the Record,

My present view of the situation is that I don't really care if my threads are moved. What I do care about is when it seems like I am being singled-out. That is, when I see threads by other Knowflakes, which obviously belong in other forums, allowed to remain in Grand Central 2.0 If there's going to be a more strict attention to order, then fine. Let it apply to everyone. If not, then fine. Let it not apply to anyone. The real, and only, issue here for me is fairness and impartiality.

I do find it a little unfortunate that a thread composed of personal reflections must be relegated to "philosophy" or "religion" if it confronts the primary themes of the human condition or if it touches on the subject of "God". Nearly everything I have to say touches on primary themes. And since my relationship with God is more and more a part of my life, it becomes more and more difficult, even absurd, for me to cut "Him" out of my conversation. I do not think that what I have to say is technically "philosophical" or "religious", I just think it is what I have to say. The distinction, which seems a little superficial, seems to be with how I say it. Honestly though, sometimes I wonder why everything we discuss isn't philosophically or spiritually oriented.

I'm glad to have been largely responsible for the re-invigoration of other parts of the forum. I'm getting used to the idea, and I actually feel more comfortable in the other forums. So, again, that's not the point. If I posted in LLC2.0, it was to make a point. Either there is order, or there is free-form. Otherwise, it's bias.

Can someone tell me why things have been peaceful here the past several days? Wait, I know why--because Yin and Valus haven't stirred up trouble. You two come back, and you start with the conflict. No, Yin, it does not make sense to leave the string until it burns out; nor does it make sense not to move it to the appropriate Forum due to less traffic. That's the whole idea of having different Forums. No matter how active or inactive the other LLC2 Mods choose to be, I'm tired of people posting the wrong Topics in the wrong Forums. If I see one moved that did not warrant it, I will be the first to speak out. The idea is simple: Post them in the correct Forum in the first place.

Valus, if you are refecting on God in your strings, then Divive Diversities might be the best Forum.

Valus, it appears to me that you are just looking for the largest stage to post your words. And Yin has already stated that she feels we should only have Astrology and Everything Else. But we have different Forums for a reason. This is Linda Goodman site. Perhaps, you would be happier at an animal rights site or a philosophy site. But when posting here, please respect that this is a Linda Goodman site with separate topics for a reason. Perhaps, it is my fault for being slack for so long. For me, the greatest offense is for a forum to get no traffic due to people posting in the wrong place.

a lot of things in life aren't fair. a lot. hungry children aren't fair. abused children aren't fair. wives who are beaten aren't fair. really really UNJUST things... someday the wrongs WILL be made right. i truly believe that with all of my heart.

threads being moved, i could give two sh!ts about. i found the thread i was looking for that you started in universal codes without a problem.

this is a waste of time and energy. you are better than this pettiness.. you really are. someday you will stop nonsense fighting and have the impact you desire on the world.. i just know it. and i say this out of love and hope it is received as intended.

yin - someone has to rise above the negative vibration. someone has to. thats a start. otherwise cycles just repeat over and over and over. you cant make a positive impact mired in negativity. no one can...when i finally figured that out..my whole life changed.

It's such a waste of energy to even discuss this. Anyone who likes the string can easily see where it was moved to and go there to participate, so what's the problem? It's like having a banner ad on the wrong Forum (almost always LLC2). But if people don't catch on, I will start having the moved discussions deleted in the original Forum to prevent so many closed strings.
