But... Glaucus' topic belongs here than Universal Codes. The "Alien" planet is not about "aliens" but the word in this context means that, it is an "unknown planetary system" to us. This topic is about astronomy, not UFOs...It doesn't fit Universal Codes: quote:

I notice threads all the time that are not in the correct place based on either the title or the subject content, but I think there are more important things in life than worrying about which thread goes where..........I'm *not* talking about you Unmoved, just stating in general everyone seems to have a different interpretation of what goes where...........so I doubt everyone is going to strictly follow the guidelines. Not wanting to post something in a forum just b/c you never frequent that place, even though the subject matter does fall there, or not wanting to post something in the correct forum b/c it "might get lost" isn't the right answer either. Also unfair that certain people get singled out and blamed when the majority of people here have been doing it. It's just getting ridiculous *sigh* Just my HO, don't pay attention to my post if you don't care.................  IP: Logged |

I don't think the moderator read my post in the first place. If the person did, he/she would clearly see that it's an astrononomical article. I think that Alien being in the title of the thread made them think "oh...this is some alien conspiracy post....or science fiction" It's purely an article on actual planets outside our solar system being discovered. That's not science fiction.
The fact is that nearly 500 planets have been discovered outside our solar system.
