Any zombie fans here? Tonight at 10 pm EST on AMC, there's a new tv show about zombies called The Walking Dead. It's on for an hour and a half tonight, but then it's an hour each week. They say it's like True Blood but with zombies. That's a big claim, but I will give it a shot...to the head. Haha! ------------------ "Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's okay though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation...so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type...I'm like, 'hey girl, magenta!' and she's like, 'oh, you mean purple!' and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'no - I want magenta!'" -John Mayer IP: Logged |

They approved this show without even seeing a pilot. It should be good.------------------ "Life is like a box of crayons. Nah, zombies seem to have a short shelf-life. ------------------ "Life is like a box of crayons. The show was awesome! Not "True Blood" awesome, but it's a hit for sure. ------------------ "Life is like a box of crayons. You might be able to watch it online. Some channels add the shows to their own websites, for a few weeks.I didn't finish watching it, because I got distracted by other things. (I stopped watching after the front door scene... which seemed familiar to me.) IP: Logged |

The show WAS awesome!!Will he find his wife and kid? DUNNO! Will the man whose wife was zombiefied, and whose life (well, err, she is techically dead, but, anyway) he spared somehow be restrored back to the real living by some means they discover to 'fix' zombies in future episodes? DUNNO! Stay tuned.... IP: Logged |

That was his wife and kid at the camp when he called on the radio! She was actually kissing his cop friend. Remember? They showed him looking in his wallet at their picture. It was definitely his wife and kid. They must think he's already dead, because they are at least kissing (but didn't want the boy to see them). He narrowly missed meeting her. So close. ------------------ "Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. OH! That was HIS wife! I was kinda distracted at that point, and I looked up and thought it was his partners wife! YIKES. Oh, the drama in zombie times!! lol. Well, one thing is.. we can look to the opening credits to figure out who is going to be somewhat permanent. We need to find out the actress' name whose husband nursed him back to health in that house. That way we can find out if she'll become unzombiefied, or just follow him around forever or what. It 'seemed' like she was going to be around more than just the first episode, but one never knows. ? IP: Logged |

I went back and watched it again. Remember the conversation in the car about light switches? When he mentioned his wife to this guy, from the expressions on his face, due to great acting, I think they were already having an affair. IP: Logged |

Yes, he was complaining that she left them on all the time. I remember. That would make more sense than her just taking up with the partner while her husband was supposedly in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound. Hmmm. Lucky you, you have DVR, huh? I think they'll probably replay episode one this week, or weekend, I'll have to try and catch it again, and pay closer attention.Good eye! IP: Logged |

OMG! This episode was the definition for edge-of-your-seat suspense! And the plot thickens. The hero found a small group--one of which is the sister of one of the girls who is in the camp with his wife and son but doesn't know it. So, she knows where the camp is, and they are heading that way. I think he will be back with his wife and son next week. IP: Logged |
