I would love to say that I have been blessed with an individual that I could call "my spiritual teacher," but I have not.What I can say is that many, many encounters have taught me excellent spiritual lessons, from close love relationships to friends, to family members to brief encounters with patients or someone on the street.. So in reality I have had many spiritual teachers. there go the goosebumps again.. t~~~ IP: Logged |

I have found many intermittent teachers, but I have not found MY teacher. I'm generally not a follower and would be a horrible student. So, needless to say, I'm not looking for a teacher. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm a Mentor in business to many people, and I respect the mentoring/coaching dynamic very much. Linda had teachers. Humbling oneself is a good thing. I just like making my own discoveries to add to my eclectic personna. ------------------

My last statement sounded cocky. I didn't mean to sound that way. I was simply stating fact. When people hate you, they have already lost. That energy always inevitably returns back to the sender. Stay true to yourself, reaffirm your character, and take the high road and soar like the eagle. Hate is like the wind that catches the eagle's wings and pushes the eagle high above the storm. Other birds seek shelter in a thunderstorm, but the eagle flies above the storm, using the heavy winds to soar (true fact). ------------------

I'm not so much wise as just having experienced much pain in my life. It's the most torturous experiences that teach us the most meaningful lessons, the deepest lessons, and the ones we do not forget. When you find several squares in a chart, you know that person has the potential to have strong character. Of course, we all decide how we react to the circumstances life throws our way. We can use those Free-Will Legos to build whatever we believe in the most at any particular point in time. ------------------

I agree. I'm a mentor and coach to hundreds of real estate students in all 50 states. I never initiate gossip, I never partake in it, and I openly discourage it. It is a fruitless and destructive behavior. In fact, it is part of my responsibility as a mentor to act as a guide and lead by example whenever gossip and rumors enter into any conversation. The teaching industry in my field is wrought with competition, and the gossip can get quite ugly. I basically don't believe anything I read or hear, and only half of what I actually see. ------------------
