I am truly shocked and appalled at the content of the most recently closed thread.How dare any individual deem it to be acceptable to dump the personal information of anyone in such a cruel and viscous manner on a public forum. What part of that is okay? Lindaland is supposed to be a peaceful community that is accepting and tolerant towards all people, with the hope that such a environment will help people to feel nurtured, secure, and safe to open up and share any issues and experiences they may have along with encouraging personal growth. Reading a thread like that is seriously disappointing. We are so lucky here to have the opportunity to participate in this community and make it a warm and happy place to be, so that we can all help each other reach a higher more evolved, peaceful place. Being mean and cruel is unnecessary, and does nothing to help anyone or any situation. Perhaps next time when faced with two directions, take the high road. Well I can kind of take the blame for that one, opening up a vortex for the negativity to enter, I mean I understand I didn't make certain people behave a certain way, but it was poor understanding of the bigger picture.There are a couple of knowflakes here who have serious issues with each other, so obviously you are disappointed with those people. Maybe it can become a rule that those sorts of things should be kept outside of LL ~ I don't know the answer. Obviously it is bothering quite a few people. We are in dire trouble if we have to ask where the Love & Light is... but I don't feel we are in trouble here at LL, it is in everyone of us, I can feel it, I'm not sure what to do about the dilemma though, the knowflakes who are facing off, I don't know why we become so involved with each other and fight here. There are some karmic gears shifting, and if we can see the bigger picture we may have the patience and strength to endure it.
If I go into too much detail I fear I will be offering opinions when in my heart I don't want any involvement. So that is all I will say.  ------------------

I enjoy all the personal attacks around here, even if having been on the receiving end of one recently, myself.I'd prefer to see this place as a reflection of reality, with all its love and hate, rather than a mock utopia, where we all compliment each other for being so "enlightened". Like I said, this place is a great forum for a "reflection" of reality. No need for reality, itself. There's no need to get so serious or personal here. Probably 80% of what I say on this website is tongue-in-cheek and it's because I know I have the opportunity to spur controversy without ever trampling on reality. All of this unnecessary fighting, slander and disappointing behavior will not have been for nothing if we can all move forward and learn from it.It is so much easier to forgive a fellow traveller than maintain a toxic grudge. We all make mistakes, and there are times when we all could have done things better, we are all human afterall. So let's not continually drag each other through the mud, it just so is not worth the emotional drain. Nobody expects that everybody in a community is going to form close friendships, but at the very least we can show each other respect, and treat each other as we in turn would like to be treated. Life is just way too short to focus your time and thoughts on things that are unimportant or even hurtful. It happened, it's over. Things will happen again and they'll be over too. It's life. And that will be over soon enough anyways, so don't give mind to the things that don't matter.IP: Logged |

We are all LL family. And like any real-life family, some of my worst arguments have been with my family, and I don't have to even like everyone in my family. But you know what? In the end, bottom line, we are still family. ------------------

When I was slandered, I deleted some strings and was crucified. I had thought we all came to the conclusion that nothing would be deleted. ------------------

I trust Randall's character.
I told him how I felt.
I learned a horrible lesson about discernment and the result was this awful thread with terrible lies about me.
I pray Randall erases it.
I do not deserve to live with these lies about me on the open web.

I'm going to delete it due to it having Adam's full name on it. Ami and EES, you both have to ignore one another. I don't care about what goes on off of Lindaland, but you two are contaminating the site with this bickering. If you both cannot have the discipline to avoid one another, I will have no choice but to strip Mod status from you. Nothing personal, as I like you both, but this is reflecting very badly on the Mod position in general as representatives of Lindaland. ------------------

I am looking at this objectively and favor no one in this situtation. I am looking at all sides of the fence. If it is deleted, it will indicate to some a member is being favored. The full name is moot as it is on FB anyhow.  That is a large part of what the underlying cause is and perpetuates the continued sniping . ------------------

I learned huge lessons.I am going on to the next stage of my life with my website .
I am ,almost, at the professional level with my guitar.
I learned lessons from pure pain.
I needed the lessons.

Facebook is different from the open web. Nothing but profile names will show up on search engines with Facebook (you have to log in to view anything). I have a legal obligation that I must at least make a good effort to try to uphold, since Lindaland is frequently spidered by search engines. It's the full name accompanied with the unsavory remarks about the named person that calls upon my legal responsibility--not just that a person's name was used. ------------------

I don't think EES would have said what she said had someone not threatened repeatedly in a domineering way to tell the board what EES does for a living. It seemed like a sort of blackmail, frankly, but it didn't work.Just my objective observation as I watched the train wreck unfold last night. So... EES was not the only one involved as some would seem to imply. I do hope something is truly learned by all of this and I hope EES doesn't end up leaving over it. IP: Logged |
