I have to write a rhetoric on a movie and picked Hannibal Rising, but I keep hitting a block. Any thoughts on either the book or movie?

hes very classy, sophisticated and really smart, highly educated....minus his sadistic, man eating nature, i bet he would be a really cool person to talk to

He'd be cool to talk to if he isn't hungry.

I don't think the movie did the book justice.

Why thank you Randall

I finished the rhetoric. Does it make sense to say that he was perfect before he remembered Mischa's death because he was mostly emotionless? And that emotion screws up perfection?

And the actor that played him was toooo cute

I think Hannibal has a severely confused moral code. On one hand, he is a very pure and powerful being. He has an extremely sensitive sense of smell and an acute photographic memory. He possesses an immense intellect and is incredibly charismatic.

I'm not sure what happens in Hannibal Rising, but I've read Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. I know about his backstory to a degree, that he watched his sister being eaten by Nazis or something to that effect.

I think that Hannibal isn't entirely evil...Rather, he is disgusted by the evil and moral vacancy in the world. So he has turned on it.

He is godlike, possessing superhuman traits. When Starling comes into play, we get to see his softer side.

I read Hannibal as being a wünderkind who lost his way early in life.
