The Dumbest States in AmericaSmartest 1. Vermont 2. Wisconsin 3. Massachusetts 4. Iowa 5. Connecticut 6. Montana 7. New Jersey 8. Nebraska 9. Minnesota 10. Nebraska Dumbest 1. Nevada 2. Arizona 3. California 4. Hawaii 5. Alaska 6. Georgia 7. Mississippi 8. Alabama 9. Louisiana 10. New Mexico Based on high school completions, literacy rates, math abilities, class sizes, student teacher ratios, higher ed degrees obtained, school budgets, sat scores, education financing, teacher ability, teacher compensation, education standards I would venture to guess that the highest scoring states also have better economies, but haven't researched save for knowing that California is at or near the bottom in terms of responsible fiscal handling. Yikes! GA boy here.------------------ "All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people, suicide is a subconscious choice, and with others it's a conscious choice. Otherwise, those who commit suicide and those who succumb to accident, illness or "old age," die for exactly the same reason: belief in the inevitability of death." Linda Goodman IP: Logged |
