The thread in Astro 2 got me thinking about charisma.
It is one of those elusive traits.Very few people have it.
Most people want it lol

WHO exemplifies charisma to you?

I think Bon Jovi has true charisma. I have not seen him lately as I don't watch TV.
I saw him on U tube in some interviews.
He radiates inner and outer beauty to me.For ALL he has achieved, he is humble .

I looked at his chart a long time ago. He is a Cap moon, I think and a Pisces ASC or something Pisces.
I do handwriting analysis. His writing is not as together as he appears to be.
However, who is

I have 2 men I think are super charismatic but not handsome in the classical way.
Johnny Cochran of OJ fame and John Gibson of Foxx News.
These men could use words like the most incredible tools.
I am a Gem Venus so maybe that is why they touched me but my larger point is that one can be very charismatic while not being classically handsome or beautiful

I think Dennis Rodman is charismatic. I read his biography a long time ago.I have not seen him on TV or the news cuz I don't watch TV or sports so if he did something bad don't blame me

Well I guess Oprah, the one and only.
She had (still has?) a good size charismatic following. She seems to radiate in lots of the pics I see of her.

I see her as a walking diamond, bright, shiny, new ideas all over the place, the smile, the enthusiasm, etc. It does it for me
The publishing industry talked a long long while about what she did for books and to get people interested, back in the game. And that Oprah book club seal was like a guaranteed hit (or seemed anyway) for a good long while. That, to me, is charisma, amassing a following.

no i really mean waiters. iz not so bad. see i remember an incident while on vacation with family. my relatives remarked how familiar the waiter's face was. he was neither handsome/ ugly but more pleasant and affable and i kinda thought this is what libra rising must be like.

i'm a 0 degree scorpio so i'm off by a few minutes from libra. i'm quite happy with my rising tho.

okay back to charisma. tom cruise? was/ is still the biggest movie star in the world. probably the pound for pound charisma king.

elvis.

what about the evil ones? surely charisma doesn't go that hand in hand with goodness all the time.

howard hughes? born during a thunderstorm as legend has it.

hitler.

i'm not sure about Hitler. he probably had *something* to begin with, but majority was enhanced by props and well-prepared speeches etc. how much of that was his-own-self shining through, i wonder?

Well my passion when I was in school was Social Psych.
There are a MILLION Hitlers. It was the society which allowed it more than the traits in the man

Yeah, another time and another place, and Hitler would have just been a dishwasher at some restaurant and later in life probably some kook on the streets holding up one of those End Of The world cardboard signs.

I disagree.

Hitler had charisma, loads of it. He could bind an audience's attention, charm them, make them bend to his will through his words. Without charisma, Hitler would've been a gang-banger, not the infamous dictator that we know.

Ask Me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout. This book is far from My only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear—all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All ways.

My fiance is the most charismatic person I know. People either love him or hate him but most end up loving him.

No, I agree he had charisma. I'm just saying it was the opportune time and place that created the power wave he rode on. There are many Hitlerian types around at any given time; they can usually only muster a small crowd of followers.

I was just watching Man Vs Food- Adam Richman is SUPER Charismatic.

He's just charming and outgoing and oh so cute.

Also -another one from those shows- HGTV House Crashers-Josh Temple.

Those are my two TV crushes lately.

"Charisma" It's 'there's just something about his guy' quality. Outgoing, intelligent, spunky, smart, challenging, endearing, talented, aware of themselves.

Bill Clinton had it in spades, as does Obama.

I agree!

Also your description of charisma is right on!

Ever notice that when a guy has it, looks do not matter?
