I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate?

when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history

It's not fixed completely yet. It's being fixed. The cgi scripts are not exiting (whatever that means). This will be a permanent solution. Then Banners can go back up. And we will be ready for the next Merc Rx.

It's permanently "being fixed"?

Is there no permanent solution? Because from the client side nothing has changed. We always had issues with long posts heavy on UBB code etc.

The issues stemmed from this problem. On the new server I can see the graphs showing when the problem gets worse. This will resolve the slowness and vanishing posts. The hanging up when posting is a byproduct of this.

The past two days, we have been operating with all of our CPU resources used up, and most of the morning with our memory used up (an enormous amont of memory), but we still functioned, albeit slowly. I'm shocked there were no vanishing posts this morning.

The last post in Brown Owl was this morning. We had no memory left then. Try it now, Charmaine.

OK, sorry, I just got confused by the phrasing of the previous. I got it now. Thanks for explaining. Can't wait to see LL glitch-free!

So what are new problems and what are things that are just accepted as a way of life at this juncture in the game? lol At Soul Unions we post, it registers that someone indeed added a Reply at whatever time and minute, it pops the thread up to the top.... yet when you open the thread the most recent post is not there. :/ Totally no fun.

That's always been a problem. It means you need to clear out your cache'. Others can see it, just not you.

So far, so good. Resource use is still low. But they haven't said they are finished yet, so I guess the repair is still being completed.

Posts don't show up for me right after I post them, I have to switch browsers to see them.

Yeah, it has been running at peak performance. But I am still not convinced. I keep waiting for it to mess up again.

Had a very brief surge that was fixed promptly, but for the most part the server has been running smoothly.
