I just encountered a strange happening

I cannot call it a ritual since I have never done one neither m aware of the conditions, and it wasn't a spell too exactly. I just placed symbols for four elements in their respective direction. I was sitting in the middle, asked for the guidance and help from the energies of the elements, burnt the candle on, and prayed. First I meditated a little, then I used imagination and visualization and finally put it down in writing. After I was done writing everything I want get done, I focused on the candle, and asked the guides and elements to let the outcome manifest in my life. after like 2 minutes, i was totally inside the flame, i saw it dancing, i saw it burning to its highest and all of sudden, it went off...the candle blew itself off, m sure it wasn't breeze because I was in a closed room.

is this a bad omen or does this mean i did something wrong or simply, my desire cannot be fulfilled???

any experiences?
