I'm tossing around the idea of having an Esoteric School here on a few subjects...just the basics...and for free, of course. Teachers would lead discussions in basic Astrology, Tarot, and anything else that we have an instructor willing to help out. Ideas? Comments? Cake?IP: Logged |

Lovely idea! I could teach basic tarot. (I think beyond a certain level it's about intuition, which is another course by itself!)IP: Logged |

Perhaps a "Lessons" forum where anyone can teach anything they like at any time. I'm sure I'm not the only one who will want to teach tarot, and the same goes for astro and other topics! Instead of creating one forum for each which would be cumbersome, let's put them all under a general "Lessons" agenda, where newbies can go to and learn the basics on a number of things. How does that sound? Also this shares the load among more people who would like to teach the same thing. For instance, for tarot, I could focus on X deck, and someone else who also likes to teach tarot can focus on deck Y, and so on so forth. A question: there is a "basic astro" forum for newbies to learn astrology according to the description. I don't know how one goes about getting access there and honestly I don't understand why it needs a separate password anyway. But the point is: if that is a "teaching forum" for astro, then you sure don't want to duplicate things? Again I don't have access there and have no idea what it is about, but I thought I'd mention it since we are discussing about teaching tarot, astro, etc. IP: Logged |

It used to be a Mod Forum, but once password-protected, I can't remove it. It's Astrology for beginners now. The password is: astrology.IP: Logged |

Yeah I got in as soon as I saw your post with the pass. It seems people teach basic astro there. So, perhaps you want to expand that forum? I wouldn't think a separate forum for teaching tarot is worth the fuss. It can be people posting "lesson" threads in any "teaching" forum. So if you can't delete or transfer the contents of this one, or just rename it as "learning forum" or some such, what do we do? IP: Logged |

I would probably start from scratch with a new Forum for just teaching...even though there are some teaching strings in that one. WEe have 32 Forums now, which is an outstanding number, but 33 is also a great number and has the 6 vibration of Love. ------------------ "Nurture great thoughts, for you will never go higher than you think."--DISRAELI IP: Logged |

33 is my lifepathnumber, so naturally I would love to see such a forum here, and I think Ami and Anon will make good teachers there. I wished IQ could teach something about the asteroids. IP: Logged |

It doesn't have to be very formal; anyone can go in and teach without making a full-time commitment.------------------ "Nurture great thoughts, for you will never go higher than you think."--DISRAELI IP: Logged |

Yes, that's how I visualized it too, Randall. I don't think "formalities" fit here anyway. IP: Logged |

How about we don't call it TEACH=CHEATor, TEACHER=CHEATER... How about we call it a Spiritual Exchange!?

Emeraldopal,I agree. I do not really like the word "teacher", not only because it has "cheater" in it, but it sounds so hierarchic. Or like someone has all the answers, when we really are just searchers on different points of the discovery-path. IP: Logged |
