It was a bad cgi script. My tech guy genius fixed it in less than 10 seconds with me on the phone while he did. It was just a matter of him working at the same time when it was happening, so he could actually see it with his own eyes on the server side.

Fantastic!! I knew it was a soft bug based on the symptoms. But as you say, it's hard to pin down when you don't witness it happening.
