I am not sure what the rule about this is? It says in the FAQ that we may delete our own posts but somewhere along the line I have picked up the impression that NO posts may be deleted?Does this apply to whole threads? Sometime in the past I think I tried to delete a thread of mine and was told by the machine this couldn't be done...this may be wrong as some things just don't get remembered correctly in this busy world! But I do believe I have seen Randall staying "no deleted threads"...can someone clarify this for me? IP: Logged |

Beg pardon, the title should read "threads", not "posts", though I would lije to know about both, since i can erase words but not whole posts?IP: Logged |

Which threads got deleted Catalina, yes he said nothing should be deleted. maybe closed but nothing deleted....but i think two mods elsewhere were arguing a while ago, and supposedly one deleted some thread or something, which he wasn't happy about. i have no idea how things are saved here, but i'm sure if the servers didn't crash, that things will be somewhere. Do you know in which section the deleted threads are? IP: Logged |

From interpreting what Cat wrote, I don't think she is saying threads or posts were deleted. I think she is asking for clarification on if they can be by those who post them.No threads can be deleted by Knowflakes. No posts can be deleted by Knowflakes. The default explanation on here was written into the description that one could do so. I disabled it. Knowflakes may edit only. IP: Logged |

That is what I thought thanks Randall. But mods can delete posts/threads with permission? Or only webmaster? IP: Logged |

yeah i noticed but had 3 other things open at the same time, so didn't bother coming back to edit this....... @Catalina, supposedly mods can do that (i haven't tried it) but not they're not supposed to, unless Randall disabled that to, so only he can delete them...which i don't think he would. Mods have the power to do so in their own Forums only, but deleting is forbidden, except for extreme circumstances.IP: Logged |
