In a hypothetical future far far away (actually, maybe not so far away), if I started an annual New Age convention for charity, what speakers would you like to hear/meet? Personally, I'd love to hear Deepak Chopra speak. And Wayne Dyer. What about you? There would be different panels from esteemed authors--like an asteroid panel, for example. IP: Logged |

Seriously Randall, I bet it would be very successful. And you know you'd have a lot of support from us knowflakes in organizing it.

I'm giving this more concrete consideration. It would be a small fee, which would get you a badge that would include everything for four days, as well as all of the panels, speaking/teaching engagements, and the meet-and-greet Walk Of Fame. I can see discussions on the 8th House, and loads of Astrology topics (especially asteroids). The speakers would sell autographed copies of their books, but everything else would be free...including 24 hour refreshments. I can see this being huge by the 5th Anniversary. Of course, every penny would go to charity. ------------------ "The stars which shone over Babylon and the stable in Bethlehem still shine as brightly over the Empire State Building and your front yard today. Anyone helping out would get a free ticket. And probably free autographed books and other free goodies. It wouldn't just be about Astrology. All New Age topoics would be welcomed. I know I can get Icke, Dyer, Chopra, and a bunch of others for free if I let them sell their stuff. I'd like to get Sylvia Brown (she's expensive, but once it becomes big, I'm sure she would speak for free), other psychics, the Ghost Hunters, and maybe even some New Age concerts. ------------------ "The stars which shone over Babylon and the stable in Bethlehem still shine as brightly over the Empire State Building and your front yard today. It would be in one of the luxury hotels in downtown Atlanta (so when it grows, it can expand to three other hotels across the street from one another, for a total of four), but I can do it at a time of the year when the hotels are virtually empty and get a super low group rate, plus Knowflakes can quadruple up to save money. I'm thinking that one of the events would be a Masked Costume Ball! How cool would that be!?! ------------------ "The stars which shone over Babylon and the stable in Bethlehem still shine as brightly over the Empire State Building and your front yard today. Everyone has to bring a mask, though. I like the ones with the hand-held stick. And to be true to Linda and for the kids (including us big kids), I'd also rent a carousel. Linda talked about how we are all painted ponies on the carousel of reincarnation. FYI, the hotel provides free daycare. ------------------ "The stars which shone over Babylon and the stable in Bethlehem still shine as brightly over the Empire State Building and your front yard today. That's a wonderful idea Randall, we could all meet each other! Very exciting. I would love to see Allie Theiss there, she's very gifted and has a lot of info to offer. Her strong points are sex and astral sex and OBE sex.

Yeah, I'd want to see iq speak. Just would be expensive to fly him out there. Not sure about Sylvia Browne. I'd take Debra Lynne Katz or some Shamanic type speaker. Astrologers too of course. Lexx would even be a great speaker with all of her experience. The people I met who ran comic book conventions usually only charged enough to cover the fees, and that came out to a higher price than expected. IP: Logged |
