Is Firefox being weird to anyone? On my website, on certain words like register or agree, it takes you to ads that I know nothing about. Also, I can't get on FB or Google with Firefox.

Also, I noticed on here, too, that certain words will take you to adds. I did not notice this yesterday.

Yes, like see the word "register" is underlined and takes you to an ad. I have that on my website, too.

This is kind of creepy. Is Google Firefox being intrusive into our lives *sigh*

I don't like Firefox for LL, because it doesn't format the site properly. IE works perfectly. But I use it sometimes. What you are describing sounds like a virus.

I just used Firefox to visit LL. Not getting the same thing you are. Register goes to the registration page.

That's a really weird virus (if that's what it is). Never heard of one changing links like that!

You know what happened? The Babylon tool bar downloaded, itself. I had it there but didn't notice it. Yesterday, I tried to get rid of it and got this.
Stay away from the Babylon toolbar

Want to hear something interesting? There is a small computer shop down the street which made my computer. They have an option where I can let them remote control it and they did that and fixed it. It took all morning, though.

Anyway, that is what happened.

I've heard of viruses and other malware that "hijacks" your browser and takes you to other pages for varying reasons (for example, every time your IP address reaches their page then whoever infected you gets paid).

A similar malware was reported on here:

Phishing is tricky too, never re-ttype your username/password outside the site's areas for signing in/up no matter how sound the pop up message sounds

You are already logged in,but suddenly there is a pop up window telling you to log again for your own safety. (note that trusted sites like Amazon or Google often verify your action by re-signing,but this is different ) Or the sign in area is different in appearance, without the site changing the overall design, etc.

Firefox is a good browser,Chrome too,but I was told that passwords can be easily cracked if using Chrome, especially when it comes to blogs or social networks.

edit- The best way is to block pop-up windows in the settings, and to check regularly for the security updates.
