Here in the northern part of the midwest,we are pulling out of the storm which is going to give you a double wallop. Hope you have your supplies in, the genny gassed up and and stay inside where it`s safe. Let us know how you`re doing. ------------------ We need to listen to our own song, and share it with others, but not force it on them. Our songs are different. An inch an hour. It's been bad, but it's puny compared to the blizzard tonight. We're expecting two feet, and I'm expecting to lose power again. I'm resting all I can before getting to work on the snow. And I fed my family well while there's still power. I pretty much grilled up most of the meat I have so that I wouldn't have to throw out food should I lose power. The last storm, lots of food was thrown out. IP: Logged |

We only got 2 foot out of our portion of it but I hear Boston will get 3 ft. Yikes I know the difficulty of 2 so... stay safe.

I am trapped and alone. Hope the space heaters hold up and power does not go out. Non working furnace. No phone in my husbands ICU room so cannot even talk to him. And cannot get to hospital to see him either. Betwixt all that, cannot rest, need to, but do not dare take my required pain meds for fear of becoming too dizzy and falling again. Yes I am b!tching again with valid reasons. I am scared and depressed.

Thank you for reminding me of that. I am so worried frayed and lacking sleep my mind is not thinking clearheaded. I need to rest and stay calm. Already having potential pre stroke symptoms like before so I must calm down. Thank you.{{{hugs}}} quote: Originally posted by mirage29:

I have an oil lamp and 3 cats if the power goes out. Cats are great little heat units in bed. I am wearing a hat, coat, and gloves in the house too. IP: Logged |

Shovel as it comes! That was my most useful lesson from living in the Great Lakes Region of New York. It's much easier to shovel 6 inches six times than it is to shovel 3 feet once. Unless you have a snow thrower. Then, enjoy. IP: Logged |

Of course I did that. Except it was a 50 mph blizzard. The moment you shovel, the wind equalizes that crap out. Of course I have a snow blower. Actually two for wife and husband. Those are standard issue items in New England, in addition to a truck with a plow. IP: Logged |

With hose, I always just hoped that the wind would make a trough where I had to shovel. Luckily, it always seemed to
