Tonight, we got word that Aquarian Stompin Tom Conners passed away. He is my spouse's FAVORITE Canadian singer. I felt my heart in my throat when I saw the news on Twitter and had to tell him. He was a very important part of Canadian culture and many of us grew up listening to his songs. I knew of him but didn't listen to him much. I feel quite sad upon hearing this news. The spouse sent an email to the Prime Minister to give Tom a state funeral and to declare March 6th Stompin Tom Day. I have no comment to that. RIP Stompin Tom

I saw him live in Toronto in the 70's. He really was an ICON. To hear he died of natural causes at age 77, is sad. IP: Logged |
