once and for all! It's been a goal for a long time & i've got to do it. So I won't be responding here and won't be reading threads either. This place can be a trigger, so I won't be checking in at all for quite a bit. Just wanted to mention it so no one worries and wonders why I'm suddenly not replying to threads. Gettin' my health on. The e-cig helped me to easily quit. No smoke, only nicotine delivered in a water vapor. It is the smoke and the 4,000 or so toxins tha are bad; not the nicotine which studies have shown reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease, some cancers, and more good things. Will try and find that article.IP: Logged |

Yep, those were my trigger at age 42 when I started again after quitting over 17 years before. Loved them! The e-cig does come in many flavors and clove might be one of them. Because there is no fire or smoke; you can smoke them in no smoking places, and even in bed!IP: Logged |

Thanks friends.SunChild, I have a few methods, one is just toughing it out (main one), I did buy some patches a long time ago, but have not used them yet. I might in an 'emergency".. But I'm listening to some special meditative music before bed which seems to help. I bought a bunch of great meditation cds with binural beats a long time ago from the Monroe Institute and one of them is for healing addictions. It seems to be helping. I've a bunch of others I've collected throughout the years and listen to them sometimes too. Thanks for the support guys. IP: Logged |

a nice serious detox would do me some good too.I've enough detoxing herbs along with my NutriBullet. Going to come up with a detoxing plan for next week. For now, it's just try to stay calm and away from stress and triggers and BREATHE. ....deep cleansing breaths... no more crutches. IP: Logged |

You might be able to find Kimberly Snyder's book through your library, or take some notes from one in a bookstore if you don't want to buy it. All of her foods are for detoxing - I really need to quit my unhealthy foods. Good luck with the quitting smoking. IP: Logged |

I know you can do it, T Everyone has their own personal strategy that works for them. You will find it/have found it. If you can, alkalise yourself as much as you can, that does help alleviate addictions. I will find more detailed info when I can. IP: Logged |

Watch out for 'day 21' of the quit... All the cravings could come back as strong as the first few days were, with a vengeance! Cough reflex comes back after a week. Once you get to day 30, then the physical withdrawal is finished... After that it's all about conquering your triggers and habits. Best of luck to you, T! IP: Logged |
