Randall, while I was on GU 2.0.... really strange DP's are happening... Could this be a sign of glitching?Does glitching only affect the ONE ailing thread, or that whole Forum? What's the best way to communicate this RIPping effect on LL's etheric universe? IP: Logged |

You may be using too many smilies. I am not sure but someone mentioned that to Lexx as hers glitch and she uses a lot of smilies.------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Or you are submitting twice by hitting the back button. The new server is working great, and it has been since we moved (except for going down once).IP: Logged |

Check your audio on the computer itself (it might also be worth checking the audio on the YT vids). Sometimes they just mute themselves and have to be turned back on which is easy. For me I can find the audio on the bottom right hand of my screen next to the clock (it may be somewhere different for you), it looks like a bullhorn on mine. I click on it and then I can change the volume. If you can't access audio from a toolbar (that is an icon for volume that you can see and conveniently click on) then you'll have to go into My Computer and get into it manually. In my experience you'll need someone less mystified by computers to walk you through it (though it's easy). And if that doesn't work I'd try rebooting (possibly readjusting the volume again after). So far that's worked for me every time. IP: Logged |

PixieJane.... Thanks. I had already done everything you describedI'll just have to 'adjust' to life with No more youtubes... I'm really SAD about that. Music was a good escape for me.... What a Loss! I don't know any computer people right now, and would NOT 'impose' on someone without 'paying them' for it. I don't have funds for a computer geek, and my roommate barely ever uses it and is not geeky at all. I used to be the office computer problem solver LONG ago. The "language" has changed.... and the "shortcuts" already programed into ready-loaded computers take away the amount of controls there used to be. Thanks for your thoughts. IP: Logged |

yay!!! stumbled upon the solution... the YOUTUBE AUDIO Silence mystery solved:VISUALLY below video on Youtube-- Speaker-horn Icon ` ``x`` ` next to the video mark-counter [0:00] With your (mouse) pointer on the "x"--- you can CLICK, and "x" toggles on and off, but there can STILL be "no audio play"....
When you place the pointer (mouse) on the "X" and CLICK to make the "x" go away, THEN you need to put your pointer on the faint "white vertical skinny beam (line)" that appears, and hold down and "stretch" this towards the right.
This new 'white line' turns into the old and "familiar" "VOLUME CONTROL" .... red horizontal bar. FURTHER NOTE:
The restored youtube video/AUDIO can act "normally" for a while, then BOOM----- you can lapse back to "no sound" again. The tiny little faint "x" reappears. >> Hit the faint little "x", and it toggles off.... >> see the faint 'white vertical skinny line' and >> place your pointer on this line and >> "stretch it out" to the right [east] again. You've Got SOUND!! YAY!!! The clue PixieJane mentioned above (and persistence and luck) helped me solve the riddle--- the audio can 'automatically' turn itself off and on.
================== on 10/8 at 5:36am MIRAGE FROM HER REPORTING DESK: *click, click* aw heck!! youtube is STILL shifting its control-stuff around and CHANGING themselves.... It's them, not me! hehe. Well, maybe~~ a little me...but NOT THIS much, hey! *laughing* LMAO Much shifting around over past 24 hours ... plus the slow downloads were a problem early in the evening 10/7. Hitting the "x" is NOT the key... it's all in trying to make that volume control appear. Shows up different on different sets of youtubes..... sheesh!!! I'm gonna figure it out, dammit!! IP: Logged |
