It's about a young Norman Bates and his living mother. Looks like it will be similar to American Horror Story! It starts Monday March 18 at 10 pm EST on A&E. It only lasts for 55 minutes. For those who watch Revolution, which starts back the same night at the same time, you can catch this at 11 also and again at 2 am.IP: Logged |

This show is just one wild ride from start to finish! Never a boring moment. Great acting, too. Not as creepy as American Horror Story, but definitely as good. IP: Logged |

He could be.. but given the tone of the place, I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't. IP: Logged |

Someone on another board thinks that the girl was in his basement - that she was seen at the end of the pilot? and someone was injecting her with something. IP: Logged |

They showed that in the pilot, but there was no indication as to where it was...or for that matter, when. IP: Logged |

I went looking for that show today, but "The 80's" series showed up first when I was scrolling down. I think I'll get to Bates, though.IP: Logged |

I watched the first two. So far so good. Norman reminds me of Haley Joel Osment.Interesting, he's the opposite sign from Osment. He's an Aquarius like Michael C. Hall (Dexter). IP: Logged |

I'm through episode four now. There was just an arrest. Interesting how things are playing out. Glad the older brother finally had a meaningful talk with Norman. I think the older brother is my favorite character so far, because he can clearly go either way: he could be bad, or he could be good...it just depends on how things work out.In a scene between the brother and Norma there was kind of an abbreviated communication, which I liked from a writing standpoint. If I were to ever pen a screenplay, it would be kind of cool to establish a sort of truncated code between family members like that. It leaves room for the family to interpret the communication explicitly, while the audience is left working out what it meant. Good stuff so far. I never saw the movie, so I wonder if the nature of the town is a new addition to add some depth to the story. IP: Logged |

They're certainly building the story's web fast. Now they're really in a mess.IP: Logged |
